As of the 26th of June'23, we are starting "Improvement work" in our apartments, where we are closing one floor at a time, as we will be prioritizing guests to grant Service Excellence. Rest assured that we, those responsible for the South American Hotel, will be doing our best to serve you, not letting the works have an impact on current accommodations.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Acceptable but would like try another option next time.
Pros:

Staff at reception very helpful to change our room, and speak good english. Breakfast is decent (but a natural yogurt would be nice). Sauna and pool and view from rooftop is nice. The comfort of the better rooms is pretty good. Location is good between two beaches and several OK bars and restaurants nearby. Without the noise issues would be quite alright if the good bed.

Cons:

Construction work started around 8:50 every morning, and cleaning staff made noises just outside the poorly sound isolated doors. Our first room had a double bed that was like two hammocks not a mattress (a beam dividing the sides and not very comfortable). That room also had a noisy AC.

Entre Copacabana e Ipanema
Pros:

Buena ubicación a cuatro cuadras de Ipanema y cuatro de las playas de Copacabana. Buen desayuno.

Cons:

El estacionamiento es pago, 85 reales por día. La habitación de tres personas adultas resultó con escasas dimensiones.

Buena, cómoda y buena ubicación.
Pros:

La ubicación es muy buena en medio de Copacabana e Ipanema, el metro es muy cerca de allí, al igual que el forte de Copacabana. Al mismo tiempo hay supermercados y tiendas cerca.

Llegar del hotel a los diferentes puntos turísticos es bastante fácil, y rápido.

Probamos la comida del room service, estaba rica, buena porción, llegó muy rápido y los precios súper bien.

Cons:

Ya se ve un poco antiguo y el ascensor es bastante lento.

El desayuno está bien, aunque para mí gusto muchas opciones dulces y pocas saladas, pero la comida igualmente es buena.
