If you have opted to pay at property The Queens Hotel will ask for payment on arrival either by debit or credit card. Our apartments are pre pay only. The Queens Hotel does not accept any groups of 6 people or more. Group Policy: Bookings with 3 rooms or more (up to 6 people total) will be required to pay a 50% non refundable deposit within 24 hours of booking. Guests staying at Victoria Cloisters will be required to leave a £100 security deposit. Please note that some rooms boast views of the river. These rooms are subject to availability and at a surcharge.
The Royal Brasserie serves dinner daily between 17:00 and 20:30. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast from 07:30 until 10.00 Monday to Friday, and 10:30 at weekends. Booking a table for breakfast and dinner on arrival is essential.
Parking is pre-bookable only (height restrictions apply)and carries a nightly supplement. When the hotel car park is full or closed due to flooding, you can use a nearby public parking facility. Alternative National Car Parks parking is located 200 yards from the property and costs GBP 27 per 24 hours.
Please specify the total number of guests and the children's age when booking family rooms. You can note this in the Special Requests box. Please note the room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. Please note during January and February evening service may be reduced. It was within walking distance to most places that we wanted to visit and that parking was pre-bookable for the three nights that we stayed there.
Lack of power outlets adjacent to the bed.
Inadvertently booked two rooms - one direct and one on booking.com. Sorted very efficiently. Entirely my fault but cancelled and refunded.

The Apartments were much better than the hotel rooms.
With regards the Apartments this was our first stay and there was not anything we didn't like.
Excellent location, everything you needed for self catering, very well thought out. The apartment felt very homely and comfortable. Washing machine and clothes rack a real bonus. Check in was easy.
Due to the shape of the bathroom taps, I found them a bit difficult to get a grip on and turn off especially when wet.

Apartment was perfect size for 3 friends (twin beds in one room and sofa bed in the living room). Towels and bedding were all provided and it was a quiet area so we all got a good night sleep! In addition, parking was included in the price of the apartment which was a bonus!
We were only given one set of keys between 3 adults - another set would have made life easier!

The location of the Hotel and apartments are excellent.
Staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. I had booked a room in the hotel and an apartment. I had paid for both and both rooms were booked in my name. But for some reason the staff would not let me check in both the room and the apartment. Apart from being inconvenient it was the way they did it - no explanation. Just a no that room is for your daughter. The apartment bathroom is basic - shower is not powerful and can run out of hot water. The TV did not work and had to be fixed by my son in law. The apartment had no dishwasher. According to my daughter and her husband; breakfast was buffet but very unappealing. And although I had paid for it - they did not go on the second morning due to the lack of quality. There is also a strange booking system not to overwhelm the kitchen. But it is a poor quality buffet. So this makes little sense.
Friendly staff , clean hotel and amazing location.
The only complaint which is minor was the scrambled eggs for breakfast was like rubber. The staff was lovely and cooked us some alternative eggs. Everything else was lovely .

Did not like the room location as it was on the street side, very noisy so unable to keep the window open, still able to hear with window closed too.
