Problem with the room spoilt our visit
Pros:

Good location in the city centre, with onsite parking which is useful, perfect if going to the Grand Opera House, something we have done a number of times.

Cons:

Unfortunately there was a problem with our room, there was a fairly audible humming noise from the room electrical distribution board. When I reported this to reception nothing could be done until the following day and no alternative room was available, the result was a pretty disturbed night's sleep.

Quiet location within minutes of the center of activity!
Pros:

The 'apartments' that we stayed in were half a block from the 'hotel' portion where we checked in. The location was very quiet yet very close to the center of town.

Far enough away, but close enough for everything you need
Pros:

The hotel was a great place to stay just a little away from the majority of the noise, but close enough to get amongst it, We was able to leave the car in the carpark the entire time we was there and walk to a number of major attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There is nothing for here from us

An excellent location for exploring York on foot!
Pros:

The location of the Queens Hotel was perfect for exploring York on foot. Our accomodations were very clean and comfoirtable. Our room was spacious. The bed was very comforatable. We had a great view of the city and river from our room. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We were very pleased. The building itself has a few quirks related to its age, but the city itself is extremely old and that is part of its charm. We loved being in the heart of the city. Thank you, Queens Hotel!

A comfortable stay with friendly staff in an excellent location.
Pros:

Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable Room. Very good location. We only had evening meal on one night during our stay but this was excellent.

Cons:

The lift was out of action for 2 of the 3 days of our stay. This was the only thing that we weren’t happy with.
