Nice spacious room. Great breakfast, lots of variety, well stocked and hot. Parking a good feature and felt very secure.
Nothing major, a little dated but a very large, old hotel so that can't be helped.
Great location
Mix up with parking
Love the central location with secure parking. Great breakfast.😊
Black hair on the sink and not one of ours🤔
Close to city centre and amenities
I didn’t realise that it overlooked the river and would have chosen that option
Excellent location, staff all very polite and helpful, clean rooms, good breakfast choice, payed for site parking which was secure , locked shutter with 24 hr cctv, under hotel. Good size room and bathroom
It was all good
Beliggenheden var god
Værelset var alt for varmt. Ingen mulighed for køling.
Modtagelsen i receptionen var meget lidt imødekommende og nærmest uvenlig.
Location
It was hot as we had a room in the roof. As no AC we had the windows open which let in a lot of noise.
No fault of the hotel that it was hot (it was great to have a warm day) and the noise was coming from the street/riverside bars etc.
Good location on a quiet street and close to shopping and spots of interest.
Our stay was during the heat wave and the windows only opened a few inches and only 1 small fan for the 2 bedroom apartment.
Easy access room service good
No hand rail in shower over a bath Pillows to soft No air conditioner Fan cable to short to reach bed area otherwise stay was good No comfortable easy chair
Beautiful room, amazing view of Ouse and Bridge street bridge. Good breakfast and excellent location.
Helpful staff
No A/C in room. Loud music playing until 1:30am.
Really clean and staff were friendly at check in amd check out. While central location is good, nearby bars were loud and commotion caused by people being drunk and disorderly throughout the night lead to disturbed sleep. This not in the hotels control but the closeness of it is unfortunate.
Went on a very hot weekend, no air con in rooms and while a fan was provided meant had to leave a key behind to keep it on as electric powered by key in slot. Also no plugs by bed to charge phones in fact only 2 sockets in the room was bad when one is set for the TV and had to have the fan in the other due to heat.
Very good
When you see the photos online they look nice, clean, and while not new, certainly enjoyable.
When we booked the hotel it was quite pricey and based on that and the photos we assumed it would be a lovely hotel.
The second you arrive everything is incredibly dated, which in an of itself isn’t bad, just disappointing.
The staff are the only reason we aren’t giving one star. Amanda in particular was lovely and helped us out so much.
We were given room 69 at first and it was hotter than satans armpit.
Thsi jotel has NO aircon and you cannot open the windows further than two fingers wide for sole stupid reason and you cannot open the windows down either so you’re left with almost no air.
There’s a fan that has the strength of a teaspoon but does little to help with the heatwave. So usually this wouldn’t be a problem in the UK vht worth noting
When we came to the room there was also a slightly weird smell so Amanda sorted us out with another room a room 46 as the hotel was booked out for the races.
It was SLIGHTLY cooler but and less smelly but ultimate the decor was as in the previous room outdated. Old and in MUCH needed need of some attention and repair.
The bathroom hasnno hooks only holes in the bathroom door at an attempt of getting hooks in, the hairdryer is an ancient model that barely works, you get the most basic of shower gel and no hair shampoo, conditioner and cream.
The plugs and tubs and sinks are so old and grubby looking (they’re clean but they look awful).
The kettle lid didn’t close or turn off.
The pillows had once been bouncy I’m sure but you may as well put two towels under your head.
The shower itself will amass a lot of water while you’re in it which is not nice and takes a long time to drain and you cannot rinse it properly since the shower head does not detach.
You don’t get a safe, there’s no fridge, barely any plugs - no plugs by the bedside table at all - we had to unplug the TV to allow space for the fan and one phone charger.
No slippers or robe are provided either .
Parking has to be paid extra but at least it’s safe and shaded underground.
It’s not a four star hotel of course - but the prices are very dear and for what you pay you get VERY little
The breakfast was okay if you like English breakfast - the continental is some yoghurts croissants mostly sugary canned fruit, preserves and some cheddar cheese slices.
Maybe some cereal.
It’s okay - the chefs do their best but it lacks some fresh varioetues like cucumbers peppers and better bread, and more meats for continental but we made do.
The bar is nice and open til midnight and the staff are wonderful.
We won’t be returning bevsuee I did not feel like it was clean and on the second day the cleaner left my pyjamas on the floor, didn’t clean anything by the looks of it because the shower was still dirty with bits in it but I guess they folded the towel.
It’s not a hotel I recommend for the price and the staff are the only saving grace and the view should you fork out for a sea view room. Otherwise you will overlook a horrible gravelly yard
You pay a lot of money for getting not a lot at all.
