If you have opted to pay at property The Queens Hotel will ask for payment on arrival either by debit or credit card. Our apartments are pre pay only. The Queens Hotel does not accept any groups of 6 people or more. Group Policy: Bookings with 3 rooms or more (up to 6 people total) will be required to pay a 50% non refundable deposit within 24 hours of booking. Guests staying at Victoria Cloisters will be required to leave a £100 security deposit. Please note that some rooms boast views of the river. These rooms are subject to availability and at a surcharge.
The Royal Brasserie serves dinner daily between 17:00 and 20:30. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast from 07:30 until 10.00 Monday to Friday, and 10:30 at weekends. Booking a table for breakfast and dinner on arrival is essential.
Parking is pre-bookable only (height restrictions apply)and carries a nightly supplement. When the hotel car park is full or closed due to flooding, you can use a nearby public parking facility. Alternative National Car Parks parking is located 200 yards from the property and costs GBP 27 per 24 hours.
Please specify the total number of guests and the children's age when booking family rooms. You can note this in the Special Requests box. Please note the room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. Please note during January and February evening service may be reduced. Good location.
It would feel better if your breakfast staff were more neatly presented. Scruffy trousers, creased shirts and very old very dirty trainers asked questions about the general hygiene of food.
The hairdryer worked only intermittently and gave off an overheating smell. An appliance like that in a bathroom should not have been allowed to get to that stage. Is it checked regularly?
I could not see a PAT sticker.

This hotel is in an ideal location for exploring York, we paid extra for a river view room and it was well worth the extra cost.
Because of the small dining area breakfast was limited but tasty.

The beds were comfy. We liked the proximity of the hotel as it was in walking distance to where we wanted to go.
After unpacking in our room we had to then pack up and move to another room as the power kept going off but didn’t come back on after the 3rd time. The lift stopped working which didn’t surprise me as it was making such a loud noise when we went travelled up and down in it. It was fixed a day later. The bathrooms are a bit shabby. The breakfast was average.
Nice clean hotel,most staff friendly comfortable room could do with more sockets closer to the bed as you could only use one as tv plugged into the other more milk we only had two pots which was not enough breakfast was brilliant 😀

Een ruim appartement met 2 aparte bedden op 1 kamer. Daarnaast een keuken met een uitgebreid assortiment. Heerlijke douche. Gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van het centrum en div. musea.

Central location can’t beat it
Very friendly staff, accommodation clean and attractive. Great location.
Only one thing - where there’s an over bath shower I think a grab rail on the wall would provide more safety.
