Nice bar area and excellent breakfast in the morning icnc. in our stay

Cons:

Lack of plug sockets in the whole room there were 2 plug sockets for the whole room.

We stayed here on a coach trip from Kent. Couldn't fault anything about the stay. Lovely spacious room overlooking the River. Short walk across the bridge into lovely York. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We had half board, good choice on the menu and food very good. Highly recommended

Not good york stay
Pros:

VERY DISAPPOINTING !! We were coming to york to pick up my engagement ring could have easily got a travel lodge but my other half said no we need smthing nicer it’s a special occasion …. The location of the hotel is superb , the breakfast area was nice & the breakfast was lovely … all from there is not good …. Our room was pokey & dated it had an air conditioning unit in it which sounded like a helicopter so you could not have it on pointless!! One side of the bed went down into a dip also .
Over all the hotel needs an update TLC , painted & a good clean , the glass door area at reception was dirty & it Just lacked un kept .
Talk of the staff we dealt with were very nice but we won’t be back & for that kind of money it’s very very disappointing

Pros:

Very central. Short walk to York restaurants, river and historic sites. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and clean.

Cons:

No postcode / directions given in hotel confirmation.

Wasn't clear in booking that had to step into the bath for a shower (impossible for my elderly Mum).

Balcony wasn't useable and overlooked car park. Key to balcony didn't lock door.

Pros:

Son emplacement.

Cons:

Been coming back @26 years always a pleasure but house keeping and maintenance ready for addressing.
Pros:

Location and everything they have to offer

Cons:

The room needs a good cleaning and maintenance of bathroom floor sink and general deep cleaning side net curtain many stains and main windows overlooking the river need cleaning or double glazing repairs as unable to see very clearly through them due to internal condensation etc and stains on walls
