Schönes Hotel mit Luft nach oben

Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr ordentlich und besticht vor allem durch seine wunderschöne Lage in South Queensferry. Dafür nimmt man gerne in Kauf, dass keine eigenen Parkplätze vorhanden sind und man etwas außerhalb parken und ein paar Minuten zum Hotel laufen muss.
Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Auch das Badezimmer war sauber und gepflegt.
Insgesamt ist das Hotel ordentlich und die Lage ist ein großes Plus.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war allerdings sehr klein – gerade groß genug, um um das Bett herumzugehen. Zudem blickte das Fenster direkt auf das Fenster eines gegenüberliegenden Zimmers. Bei gekipptem Fenster (ein vollständiges Öffnen war nicht möglich) war die laute Klimaanlage im Außenbereich deutlich zu hören. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer kühlte zwar gut, verursachte jedoch die ganze Nacht ein klapperndes Geräusch. Außerdem blinkte der Feuermelder regelmäßig, was etwas störend war. Hinzu kam, dass die Tür zum Flur sehr hellhörig war. Dennoch konnten wir insgesamt gut schlafen.
Leider war das WLAN im Zimmer sehr schwach und die Verbindung brach ständig ab, sodass es dort kaum nutzbar war.
Für sich genommen wären viele dieser Punkte nicht besonders gravierend. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Hotels auf unserer Rundreise fällt jedoch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis negativ auf. Wir hatten mehrfach günstigere Hotels in ähnlich guter Lage, mit größeren Zimmern und teilweise sogar inklusive Frühstück. Der aufgerufene Preis erscheint im Vergleich zur gebotenen Leistung jedoch deutlich zu hoch

Beautiful accommodation with amazing restaurant and friendly staff

The room was lovely and the views from the restaurant were absolutely amazing.
Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

When leaving for the airport at 3:30am, we found the reception area door locked, so we had to squeeze between two doors to get out. This was particularly difficult while carrying suitcases and wasn’t an ideal experience for an early departure.

There is no parking available at the property, so guests need to find their own parking arrangements. We were fortunate to find a free space in the car park opposite the police station, but there was only one space available and availability may be limited.

Sauber, neue Einrichtung. Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Sehr freundliches, herzliches Personal. Aussicht auf die Forth Rail Bridge aus dem Frühstücksraum. Sehr zentral in Queensferry.

Perfekt inmitten von Queensferry samt tollem Ausblick auf die drei Brücken und nettem Personal
Pros:

Die Lage ist toll, die Zimmer mit Ausblick in den Firth of Forth sind schön. Das Bett ist bequem. Die Badezimmer sind fein und schön renoviert. Fein, dass man im Haus gut essen kann.

Cons:

Wir hatten Glück mit dem Parkplatz, aber das könnte schon ein Problem sein. Im Haus ist neben dem Restaurant ein recht lautes Lokal, der Balkon des Restaurants ist direkt unter den Zimmern. Zum Teil recht laut, aber ok.
