We only had one night in this lovely hotel but I would have liked to stay longer.
Pros:

I have mobility issues and the assistance provided by staff was appreciated and I didn't even have to ask for it! Restaurant was welcoming, family friendly menu, good variety and prices. Room was large, comfly bed, good size shower with good water pressure. Our adult daughter loved the large heated pool after a long day driving. Free large carpark.

Cons:

Nothing.....everything was great

Nice rooms, dodgy guests
Pros:

Friendly staff and comfy rooms with good A/C. Had a room with an adjoining door to the next room which offers no sound deadening. This was made worse by the guy in the adjoining room bringing a prostitute to the room at 2am. Fortunately this transaction only lasted 5 minutes total as he loudly advised her afterwards that it had been 8 months since his last time!!! Luckily for us we also got to hear his loud and in depth conversation with his friend followed by the tv blaring most of the night. At time of writing (4 days later) the hotel still haven’t responded to our complaint. If booking make sure you ask for a room with no adjoining door.

Basic, comfortable bed, disappointed with the spa!
Pros:

Basic, black everywhere, comfy large bed and a bath in the club rooms, basic self service breakfast. Clean with pleasant young staff.
The “river”view from our club room was actually the busy road, then the travel lodge which actually had the river view.
Not a spa hotel but more a community gym and pool so no quiet poolside relaxation although I tried 3 times.
Good parking. Handy for the convention centre.
The music volume for the aquarobics was definitely above the legal limit and is to be avoided if you want to swim or read a book by the pool.

A tale of two scores!
Pros:

This is a really tricky one to rate.
The reception staff and housekeeping were great; friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfy. The furniture was modern and smart and there was plenty of seating in the foyer to relax in.
Then there’s the bar and restaurant. Hmmm. While the food really was nice, the staff were just shocking! Despite showing my booking reference there was no table reserved. (It was a busy night and we had to just stand around waiting for them to find a table. ) There was no explanation of how to order food, (it’s from the table. This is no issue, actually prefer it if anything, but we waited for a while for someone to take our order before we realised!). We ordered two glasses of wine which were the same measurement on the order but came as different measures. Asked one of the waiting in staff about it and he pointed at the bar. That’s it, just pointed. The main course came out while we were only half way through the starter. The waitress just put the food down so we watched it go cold before we were ready to start eating. Then the staff started clearing up the table before we’d all finished. And lastly, the glasses were dirty on our last round of drinks.
All in all, would stay but not eat here because while the food is nice, the experience is just jarring!

Great family stay.
Pros:

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Village Hotel in Glasgow. Room was very comfortable. Beds were perfect and room was a good size for our family of two adults and 2 boys ages 11 & 13. We didn’t eat in the hotel but did use Starbucks. It was great that I could order and pay for our drinks on the App and by the time I got downstairs our drinks were ready. We used the pool and although very busy on a Sunday morning we had a great time. Great location for public transport as easy walk to Exhibition Centre station.

Did not feel like a 4 star property, I have stayed in far nicer 4 star hotels in Glasgow
Pros:

It was not very clean, the room was clean but the decor looked tired.
Breakfast was pretty poor, expected more from a 4 star hotel.

Cons:

Room was comfortable and clean
