Didn't have breakfast
Bathroom needed an upgrade
Had a nice Indian meal and garden area was nice
Stuck in the stables tiny room could hardly move, was not impressed at all at £154 2 nights and nit even in the building , noise from ceilings was terrible creaking was tourcher. people up above moving round most of night, child very early morning running round could hear them talking ceilings were paper thin dont accept the stable rooms
Friendly staff great location
Rooms need a upgrade the restaurant take priority over the pub for food
Lots of parking available, staff were welcoming. From the road it looked like a nice venue and there was a lively bar area.
The room was in the "stables". It seemed run down, and the layout did not feel particularly secure. Basic facilities, bed not comfortable. We were woken up before 6am by the sound of someone on metal steps outside our room. Breakfast was a disappointment.

Floor Carpet really old and dirty

Nothing
Not much.
They need to spend some money on the place, the floor boards have had it and you can here any movement from other guests all through the night. The plumbing is ancient and their food is over priced too.
Everything went well. Great price, and service. Food was very good. Nice gardens and surrounds.
Only problem i encountered was very squeaky floorboards in my room and both adjoining rooms. These were noisy enough to wake me up when people were moving around next door.
Very clean and quite
Could of had a few more pillows
Staff were very attentive and the food was very good.
The rooms, hotel and grounds are tired and need smartening up.
We had to.move rooms as not one window opened and it was an extremely hot weekend.
Stay here regularly (every couple of months) - this time had an upstairs room in the stables. Much better than downstairs. Thank you!! Staff are great. Always helpful and accommodating.
If booking is for two people, please put two bath towels in room. Minor issue, and was resolved very quickly
Perfect location
Stables are a bit small, not worth the price we paid
Location and external appearance.
Tired and dirty decor. Mattress badly marked.
Nothing
There is a serious scam being operated by the guy in charge. He cancelled the original booking made correctly through Agoda. Then created a booking of his own with Booking.com, then cancelled this. This is the only booking which appears on the hotel records , the original Agoda booking has disappeared. Due to the Agoda booking being cancelled last minute then Agoda do not refund the money paid for the original booking , but the Elms Hotel tell the guest that this will be refunded. The guests were charged a premium Saturday rate and asked to pay again £85 rather than the original £58 for the Agoda booking. Despite visits in person to the hotel the guy on the desk first denies that it was him who was on the premises on the day of the booking. He was mistaken for someone who he says looks similar who was in charge on the day the booking was made. We are certain however that it was him. There are also what I am sure were bogus calls made to give the guests the impression that booking.com were being called. Calls were made via his mobile , hotel accounts supposedly confirming the bookings , also just on his mobile. The guy supposedly from booking.com saying he could not send an email to confirm the refund as the booking had been made through Agoda. I have more details . I really do hope you will take this seriously and put a stop to this scam. I am certain their will be a pattern of late cancellations which is out of the ordinary. No refunds have ever been received for the original £58 paid despite continued reassurances from the hotel that this would be happening. They kept us waiting for over an hour without any serious progress or confirmation of refund on a return visit we paid a few weeks after the date of the original booking. This is all part of the scam process. You need to stop this guy.
Great value for the night. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a fan too which was needed in this heat!
As other reviews have mentioned you could hear people walking around upstairs but it wasn’t too noisy.
