Good brekfast. Excellent location.
Easy to find, sensible layout,quick to check in. We had the comfortable double and it was. Staff were polite and efficient, and helpful. Hotel is clean and fresh.
As someone whose work requires frequent international travel, I stay in hotels around the world almost every month. Over the past fifteen years, I have experienced a wide range of hospitality standards, and I can confidently say that this has been one of the finest hotel experiences I have had.
For me, two criteria matter most when choosing accommodation: cleanliness and the quality of service. This hotel excelled in both.
The property was impeccably maintained, the room was spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. In fact, I enjoyed some of the best sleep I have had in months. The sound insulation was also excellent, creating a remarkably quiet and restful environment.
What truly distinguished this hotel, however, was its staff. Every member of the front desk team demonstrated a level of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness that is increasingly rare to encounter. Throughout my stay, they consistently went above and beyond to assist with any request, always with genuine kindness and efficiency.
I particularly appreciated their flexibility and understanding when I encountered difficulties with my bank card in a largely cashless environment. They also accommodated my request for a late check-out, which made a significant bdifference to my travel arrangements. Their willingness to help, even in situations that extended beyond standard expectations, reflected a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
The housekeeping team also deserves recognition for their excellent work and attention to detail.
My sincere thanks to the entire staff for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. Their professionalism, generosity, and care created an atmosphere that felt genuinely welcoming, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travellers.

I recently stayed at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a great location for exploring Edinburgh.
What really made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service from the staff. A special thank you to Berkan, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to assist with any questions I had and made me feel genuinely welcome. Her excellent customer service is a real credit to the hotel.
The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The entire team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made my visit even more enjoyable.
I would highly recommend Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket to anyone visiting Edinburgh and will definitely stay here again when I’m next in the city.

The staff at the reception for checking could have been more professional, the area designated for check in facilities isn’t big enough.Hygiene could be better inside the rooms and for breakfast tables.
Good location near the bus and tram stops so a short journey to the city centre. Room was very quiet and well appointed. Spotlessly clean.
Pillows were rather too firm for us.
The staff were very accommodating. We showed up a few hours early but they were still able to have the room ready.
The location is fantastic, very close to major attractions.
There was an odd smell in the hallway of our floor, but nothing unbearable.

No bar area separate from reception, restaurant opening hours poor in the hotel, rooms should have more shelf space for clothing. Overall it was adequate enough.
