Cleanliness was amazing
Breakfast was the worce ive had at a mercure. The staff at breakfast clearly didnt care or has not been trained correctly. All hot food was terrible. No pancake mix in machine.

Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel, das Personal sehr freundlich. Vom Flughafen gut per tram zu erreichen.
Für uns war es doch etwas zu weit ausserhalb, man läuf 17 - 20 min zur Altstadt. Wie alles in Edinburgh fand ich es sehr teuer für einen guten Standard. Dabei hatten wir es ausgesucht, weil es günstiger als viele andere war.
Very clean and a nice room
The room was a little on the small side for the money and further from Edinburgh than I thought but that’s my fault for not doing sufficient research.
Room was ok, comfortable bed.
Fridge wasn't work properly.
The location of this hotel was perfect for myself and my little boy just a 10min walk from the train station and likewise to the castle area. The reception team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed as did the breakfast team. Room wise was fine nothing special the carpet could have done with a proper hover or clean but given we were only staying 2 nights and out most of the day wasn’t much of a hassle. Breakfast on the first morning was very busy due to a American coach party who all came down at the same time ~ this made the room very busy and noisy thankfully managed to grab a corner table out of the way. Might be an idea to give coach parties a time and split the bus less overwhelming for both staff and other customers. We would stay here again just needs a few tweaks and it would be spot on
Almost nothing
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my stay. The room was very small for the price, and the breakfast was limited where the only pancake machine was always out of service throughout my stay. And when I left they ask me for 10/10 review. I prefer my reviews to reflect my genuine experience.
To be honest, the hotel had almost no facilities apart from the breakfast area. It is also located far from the downtown, with no nearby attractions, and my view was of what looked like an unpleasant view. The room was clean, but extremely small and the restrooms smell bad. For almost the same price, I had a much better experience in London, which is a far more expensive city. Although there were many staff members, their willingness to help was very limited.
