Excellent location
Stayed here for a night as a stopover. The hotel is right in the middle of the city and has nice cafes around.
The breakfast buffet is also nice here

Great view and close to the water. Didn't use another services.
The room 112 had a strong moldy smell, and both the bedroom and bathroom floors were sticky. The headboard was dusty and uncleaned, with visible spiderwebs. This was not up to Radisson standards at all.
The arrival experience was unacceptable and unprofessional. The security staff were unwelcoming, failed to open the car door, and lacked basic hospitality. Worse, the security guard called the front desk to question whether I was actually a guest, specifically referring to me in the local language as the "tall, dark guy with long hair" to verify if I had a room key—which my driver overheard directly.
Housekeeping was just as unresponsive. On my second day, I specifically requested at the reception that the room and bathroom floors be properly cleaned, but staff only did a basic turndown service and left the sticky floors untouched. At checkout, no one bothered to ask about my stay.
I should have stayed at Hotel Suisse next door instead. I visited two friends checking in there, and the contrast was night and day—from security to the front desk and concierge, the staff at Hotel Suisse offered exceptional, warm service.
I will never stay at Radisson Kandy again.
Bullet-Point Format
Unacceptable Profiling & Rude Security: Zero hospitality upon arrival with no assistance at the car. The security guard was overheard by my driver calling the front desk in the local language, describing me as the "tall, dark guy with long hair" to question if I was actually a guest with a room key.
Poor Cleanliness & Ignored Requests: The room smelled like mold, the floors were sticky, the headboard was dusty, and there were spiderwebs. Despite requesting a thorough floor cleaning at reception on day two, housekeeping only did a turndown service. Bathroom inbetween tiles is so dirty, i switch off lights while I took showers.
Lack of Basic Courtesy: Front desk staff showed no interest in guest feedback during checkout.
The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Chithrananda went out of his way to assist us wherever he could. We would come back, just because of his service!
The in-room dining food and pool bar food wasn't great.
Breakfast was superb. Roof top swimming pool was very good.

Va migliorato tutto. Hotel trascurato, lavandino intasato e malfunzionante, serratura della porta di entrata difettosa, terrazza inutilizzabile causa scimmie, soggetto esoso all’uscita e all’entrata che perseguita i turisti cercando di obbligarli ad andare in tuk tuk con lui. Al momento hotel da evitare.
Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Das Personal an der Rezeption war wirklich sehr freundlich und bemüht einen Buchungsfehler meinerseits wieder auszugleichen. Meinen herzlichen Dank dafür.
Im Badezimmer war es nicht möglich die Temperatur des Wassers in der Dusche einzustellen, es war entweder extrem heiß oder ganz kalt.
Das Frühstücksbüffet lies zu wünschen übrig.
The hotel was in close proximity to the town centre I would say it was a 15 min tuk tuk ride. The hotel was modern with nice size rooms and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.
