Radisson Hotel Kandy

We just stayed one night. Room very clean bright and spacious. Good selection at breakfast. Staff very friendly. It is up a steep hill from the main area but wasn’t a problem with us but could see it would be for a longer stay. Good pizza restaurant close by.

It was good, as we would expect from the Raddison

Everything. Location is superb due to its proximity to city. Its full of light and airy and spacious somehow. Staff absolutely fantastic dishing out super dishes and Kandyan hospitality. Indian food was a winner and the local dishes with a Kandyan flavour was unique.
Services of Reservstions and, Front desk was superb, after a long journey you just need to rest and they ensure that with a welcome drink and a load of welcome warmth.
Also one more thing commendable, when plates get empty after the meal, the waiters clear the plates promptly, tables are always clean and orderly.

We stay here for 2 nights and The location was good and quiet close to the kandy lake (main area)
Rooms were spacious with balcony view to the Kandy lake
They also offer complimentary meal (one meal per day) for baby
Breakfast have sufficient variety but lacks in indian taste. How ever we managed to have Fruits and egg dishes that was okay.
They provide indian dishes in dinner also but we didn’t like the taste (Not according to India) They have good varieties of cakes and pastries also pan cakes.
Over all we have a good stay at this property

This hotel is on a hill overlooking the city of Kandy. The views from the room and balcony were gorgeous. The check in process was smooth. The staff were nice and polite - as I came to expect and appreciate from the famous Sri Lankan friendliness, plus hospitality.
I had a room right next to the gym (literally right next door!), and the swimming pool was around a 30 second walk a bit further along!
The hotel and room had a modern, chic feel to it, with decent amenities available for use. My tv wasn’t working properly at first, and they promptly arranged someone to come and fix it within 30 mins.
My room rate included a buffet breakfast, with a wide variety of choices (both western and Sri Lankan ones) - I definitely started the day feeling very full afterwards! No real need for lunch! I left my water bottle on the table, and the staff managed to give it back to me the following day! Kudos to them!
The one downside was that the hotel was a little isolated at the hilltop, thus walking around outside at night looking for food, meals, or snacks wasn’t really possible. The only real nearby option was to try the hotel rooftop restaurant - right next to the pool. I tried the fish and chips (which was on offer with free drinks x2 at that time). While the chips were decent, I found the fish a little disappointing - it was a little dry and overcooked. However, it was partly my fault for not sticking to local dishes / cuisine.
All in all I enjoyed my stay at this place, and I miss it after leaving Kandy!

A large hotel in Kandy—part of a chain, so you know what to expect. Everything worked, but it lacked personality or charm.

Great service and wonderful experience at Radisson kandy
I recently visited Radisson Hotel kandy and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top. A special thank to Taniya wedikkarage (Reception) for being so helpful, polite and attentive. Excellent hospitality Highly recommended.

It was such a bad experience at staying in this hotel, but my friends made it worth for us. Don’t be tempted by the name, the Service, the Rooms and the food are very bad.
