Attractive and pleasant. Comfortable room and bed. Nice bathroom.
I liked it all
Period property well extended to give large dining space and large conservatory also an indoor pool
Always a pleasure to stay here
It was very clean and reasonably easy to park
Very old fashioned and I had to go to the kitchen to find staff when I wanted to check in.
Lovely swimming pool and gardens.
A bit noisy on our room, near lobby.
This Georgian property is set in lovely grounds that flow around the various buildings housing a variety of room options. The main garden area has tables and chairs which was lovely as we were there in the heatwave and enjoyed relaxing in the shade with our drinks. There is an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa. The hotel is dog friendly which is perfect as we had our pet dog with us who was made to feel most welcome. The dining area has many seating options and we were able to have a table with our pet dog which was lovely. We had dinner, breakfast and Sunday lunch and all the meals were presented well and were delicious. However what made our stay perfect was the staff. They were all excellent, very helpful and friendly and so happy to make sure we were having a wonderful stay. We had a fabulous time and will return.
The breakfast menu was wide and varied. Beautifully freshly cooked and well presented.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Large comfortable bed, good furnishings and the bathroom was large and had everything we needed. The dinner menu was varied, it was a shame we didn't have time to try everything! The swimming pool was warm with plenty of room. Short shallow end and much longer deep end.
The staff were excellent. They were friendly, professional, helpful and always cheerful and smiling. A pleasure.
I really can't think of anything.
Everything was very good
Including the staff
Just q2 criticisms
No sockets near bed and TV had subtitles on permanently which nobody could remove
Very clean. Well kept and nice facilities
The room was very warm and no option to open windows widely / air con
Delightful room
Lovely views
Superb restaurant
Excellent gym and pool
Terrific friendly staff
Couldn't fault it at wouldn't change a thing.
Room was big and lovely, staff were really nice. Restaurant was quite expensive but lovely setting. Great location - ~5 min drive to Rye and ~20 to Cambersands. Also <5 min to Tillington winery which I'd really recommend.
Spa facilities were slightly dated and the steam room (I think) was out of the order sadly, but still great value and enjoyable.
Pretty country house with a nice indoor pool and not a bad gym for a hotel.
Rooms sparsely decorated, bit tired. We had a junior suite but it was two separate rooms and didn’t feel at all cosy. Felt expensive for what it was.
Very good. Food very good. Staff very Friendly and helpful
We had a room on the 2nd floor. No lift and I had a hip replacement problem which made the 32 stairs difficult
