Muss nicht wieder sein.
Pros:

Lage, freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Das Country House wirkt von außen sehr anziehend, hinterlässt jedoch beim Betreten einen eher dürftigen Eindruck.
Es ist renovierungsbedürftig und wir hatten in Zimmer 2 ein Bad, was eher den musealen Charme aus den siebziger achtziger Jahren hatte.

Pros:

We like that the Flackley Ash is
quiet and peaceful and set back from the main road, yet an easy walk into Peasmarsh village.

Cons:

We had a problem with our door key , perhaps an updated system is needed.

It was fine for a short stay but could be uncomfortable in hotter weather especially if a longer stay

Excellent position. Very clean. Exceptional staff

Cons:

Needs a little updating. The sauna and jacuzzi need improving …a little shabby. The light fitting in our room was too low and when we opened the door to our room the door banged against the light fitting.
It was quite hot in the room …the fan provided would definitely not suffice in hotter weather. The room could do with air conditioning. The room did not have a safe.

Pros:

The room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner had plenty of choice and top quality. The staff and level of service was excellent.

Overall, staff courtesy, pleasant location balanced the annoying features
Pros:

Thought it OTT to charge £3.25 for tea at breakfast-totally unacceptable. Granola, yoghurt & berries already overpriced at £10.95. Toast extra too. Didn’t bother with breakfast after that

Sorry-see above.
Not enough convenient electric plugs in bedroom. Had to keep moving the kettle to use it-on an overcrowded top. Room very warm-no air con.
Other guests noisy in the corridor from 7am each morning-no signs to say Ssshhhhh!!! No water in rooms to drink

Pros:

Being in nature and the peace, quiet. Unluckily we stayed over the weekend when there was water shortage but staff were super helpful to give us bottles of water for our needs

Cons:

Carpeted rooms and mouse in the lounge! The beds are also super old and not comfy. 10 pm shift personnel in the evening were not very friendly to guests in the lounge to serve last drinks before the bar closed

A very relaxed and friendly hotel within easy reach of Rye and Great Dixter.
Pros:

Room was well equipped, appreciated the fan provided, it was lovely to be able to sit in the garden in some shade and the hotel has a very relaxed feel. I liked the Pool and the roast dinner was superb.

Cons:

A little bit noisy as we were by the stairs.. and my husband hated having a dog barking at the neighbouring table intermittently.. during dinner, . we didn't notice the dog when we chose our seat.

Cons:

The sauna is separate - not great for a couple who are trying to spend time together
You could do with more beds by swimming pool
No fridge in room
Printed menus should be in the room it’s a hassle trying scan QR codes etc people want to relax not do extra work
The garden needs tidying up the wild flowers need pruning at the top as although they are wild you can still add some shape to them and the potted plants on the back step needs watering the flowers are dying.
The window in the gym has a bad view to wild unkept back garden this back garden needs pruning / tidying up as it’s an unsightly view.
Alternatively get some garden screens to cover the wild.
You could add sun loungers in the garden in this weather

We enjoyed our stay but consider the hotel a little overpriced.
Pros:

Our bedroom was generally comfortable. The view was very good and the grounds pleasant.
The vast majority of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The pool.

Cons:

The mattress needed replacing as it sagged badly on one side.
The shower was poor.
One of the evening receptionists was uncommunicative and generally uninterested in being helpful.

It was not a comfortable stay
Pros:

Hotel looks amazing from outside.
Our room was above their kitchen and the smell of all sorts of food being cooked was inside our room throughout our stay. A loud industrial fan noise constantly coming from outside, so wasn’t easy to fall asleep either.
Service and staff were professional and friendly.
We had once breakfast and once lunch. Salad ingredients were dehydrated, pasta was drowned in oil and bland.

Not sure if there is anything to be done with the room above kitchen but I thought you definitely should try and. Or get room number 11.

Cons:

Strong fried food smells in the rooms we were staying in.
