Lovely stay
Pros:

Staff were lovely, made my friends birthday 🎂 great hotel and amenities.

Cons:

Smoking is allowed everywhere. So around food outdoors and common pool area.
Not enough bed lounges near pool as people put their towels on early and block them which shouldn't be allowed !

A Zanzibar ci ero già stato anni fa, e mi era rimasta nel cuore, ci siamo tornati quest’anno, e niente… siamo andati via con le lacrime agli occhi….
Al Pongwe bay resort, si sta veramente bene, bisogna vederlo e viverci… Tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, dal cibo, alle camere, dal giardino agli animali che lo vivono che sembrano messi lì a posta. Il personale è meraviglioso, tutti super sorridenti e super attenti a non farvi mancare nulla. Si vede che dietro c’è un grande lavoro del direttore e dei proprietari che vivono in primis il resort.
Situato in questa baia magica, dalla sabbia bianca borotalco, e dal mare azzurro turchese a macchie, caratterizzata da questo pontile di 300 metri che ti permette di andare a farti un bagno anche quando la marea è bassa.
In spiaggia si può stare tranquilli senza essere disturbati da nessuno, oltretutto ci sono i masai a proteggere l’accesso del resort dalla spiaggia.
Però se ci si alza e si fanno due passi, si può essere avvicinati da gente del luogo che cerca di venderti souvenir. Ecco, anche qui abbiamo trovato qualcosa di unico. Abbiamo fatto amicizia con due persone in particolare: uno è un ragazzo che non si può non riconoscere perché è sordo e muto (non prendete paura) può accompagnarvi in fondo alla spiaggia quando la marea è bassa e portarvi a vedere stelle marine e pesci, passando per le donne che coltivano una sorta di orto di alghe. L’altro è Leo, lo potete riconoscere dal cappello da pescatore, che oltre a spiegarvi un sacco di cose, vi può portare a vedere i lemuri.

We loved the food and the staff were amazing , Susan looked after us was so lovely
They had a bbq night when we arrived and we really enjoyed the dance and singing
