Hotel Spadai

What a wonderful experience at Hotel Spadai! Our first trip to Florence and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. We stayed with them for 3 nights and it was well priced. It was over 100 degrees outside and the AC was amazing in our room. It is centrally located, safe and easy to navigate everything we wanted to see. The breakfast is fabulous -- fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, pastries and more. Definitely get breakfast with your room. It makes it so easy to grab something good before you head out for the day. The staff (loved Marco at the front desk) was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean from the start and cleaned/organized when we came back everyday. Lastly, they stock the mini refrigerator with nice stuff that is included in your room rate. I love that there isn't a nickel and diming feel to this hotel.

The rooms were so nice. So many hotels we went to had mediocre hairdryers and theirs was amazing. From hotel robes to magnifying mirrors in the bathrooms, you can tell this hotel really pays attention to the details. It made our stay coming from the US easy. They had everything we needed. I would 100% stay here again. Loved it!

Breakfast was good. Room interior (especially bathroom) spacious. Staff were excellent, free drinks and canapés a very nice touch

After a lot of research, I booked Spadai given its fantastic location and rooms that accommodate 4.

When we walked into the room, we were so impressed with the modern look and space.

Wonderful

We stayed here at the start of the heat wave in June 2026. We were so thankful that the location was so close to the Duomo. We were able to take a few hours walking through the city and come back to the hotel for so much needed AC. (The AC was amazing!) The service of the staff was really great as well. They helped us with arranging a transfer to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. The only thing of note is because the hotel is so close to the city center, it can be noisy at night. We only had one night of our entire stay where we noticed some loud people returning home after a late night out. I look forward to returning!

Perfect location, good value, welcoming staff. They gave me a free upgrade to their large suite which had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi.

Location was awesome, staff very helpful, gave us recommendations to some great restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable.

Amazing hotel, wonderful staff and amenities. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a king bed and two twins in neighboring rooms.

Breakfast buffet was extensive, mini bar included in room and restocked daily. AC was fabulous, which is rare to find in Italy so that alone was a treat given the heat wave.

Lobby bar is cute and has complimentary cold water/iced tea available thought the day. They also offer a free drink at the bar per room and the bar also has light apps for those partaking. Lots of nice little extras wherever you turn.

Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

GF bkfst options available. Not extensive but much appreciated.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Spadai this past month.

We'd never stayed there before but the unrelentingly positive reviews - especially in regards to location - swayed us and we are so glad we listened.

We visited Firenze in the midst of the heat wave they're experiencing, thanks to the heat dome parked over Europe. Having the ability to return home to our hotel several times over the course of the day to cool down in the excellent (and silent!) air con was invaluable. We took several showers each day, cooled down and then returned to our adventuring. The location simply could not have been more ideal, period, but especially in this instance.

Service and hospitality was unfailingly gracious. Everyone smiled and greeted us, filled water bottles for us, and really just sort of exuded a quietly positive vibe that we appreciated.

Our room was spacious and shockingly quiet for how central the location was. We heard minimal street noise and the blackout curtains did their job. Air conditioning is always a gamble - as I mentioned, ours was silent. It was a joy to retreat to our room and then gentle turndown service each day was welcome.

The water pressure was fantastic (not always the case in Europe!) and the wifi worked. If you buy a drink at the bar during happy hour, they'll ply you with a buffet of bar snacks which was also welcome.

As has been mentioned, the contents of the minibar are free and replenished daily and the breakfast on the top floor is fit for kings. We aren't big breakfast people but went up for takeaway coffee each morning and enjoyed a bounty of a fruit plate.

There was a spa that we didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of but sounded like you could easily lose an hour or two to a massage.

Overall, a really excellent stay without a single downside that I can think of to share. Oftentimes its "oh this was so great except..." but there wasn't an except. You could argue it doesn't have all the amenities of a higher end luxury hotel, and it does not, but if you're seeking those, then you already know that.

We will look forward to returning again on future visits.

This hotel blew our expectations. Less than 5 minutes from the Duomo, the hotel is a luxurious retreat in a sea of tourism. We were surprised with a welcome drink on arrival and loved the hotel bar. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. We’d absolutely stay here again for how clean it was, how kind the staff was, and how close it is to all the things you want to see in Florence.

Room excellent and spotlessly clean. Bed excellent. Quality of bedding and toiletries excellent. Fred mini bar was superb. Breakfast and service also excellent. comfort excellent!
