Beautiful sea views
De accomodatie is erg ruim, proper. Sithmi is erg vriendelijk.

Court séjour (une nuit et une journée), mais excellent. Hôtel assez luxueux tout en vous faisant sentir comme à la maison. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Notre avion de retour étant tard le soir, nous avons pu quitter la chambre plus tard. Ils ont gardé nos valises et nous avons même pu profiter de la piscine après le check-out.
Un grand merci à tout le personnel, en particulier à Sithmi, qui a rendu notre séjour parfait. Si nous revenons au Sri Lanka, nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

We booked a 2-night stay here in mid May and wished we had stayed in our previous Hotel; very disappointing.
The main reason for this was due to an "external" event/concert the Hotel arranged during our stay.
As a result, our experience included the following:
1. we were advised that ear-plugs would be issued for the night of the concert.
2. we were very much looking forward to a great breakfast with a great view of the beach....as seen in the attached photo, the sheer size of the marquee erased that for us.
3. on the day of the "event", management closed the bar and the main restaurant, advising that we could dine at the Hotel owned Mexican restaurant across the road.....to dine at a Mexican restaurant in Sri Lanka!
Other options offered were either dining in-room (due to the lack of dining table/chairs, would rather not hunch over the bed or balance a place on my lap) or dining at the pool bar (no thank you).
Having no other choice and after dining on Mexican, I raised our disappointment to the Front Office Manager.
I was then informed that the full restaurant menu was available at the Mexican restaurant. We were not shown any other menu apart from the Mexican dining one (we were asked whether we were guests at the Sentido).
With the experience that I had, the Sentido Heritance does not seem focused on guest experience, placing paying guests behind external functions/events.
Management is also in need of improving their communication and the communication of their staff.
It would have been quite straight forward to slip a letter under each guests room outlining the alternative arrangements with respect to facilities/dining avoiding the mis-communication and poor experience we felt.

Having the bar and main restaurant closed in a "5-star" hotel and not being advised of a suitable alternative is unacceptable.
To then be offered a discount rate for our next stay rather than re-imburse for facilities that we were unable to use (due to Hotel miscommunication) for half of our stay re-enforces the Hotel's focus previously mentioned.
I will not be returning.
Amazing experience staying here during our honeymoon! Sithmi made it extra special by sending us a lovely cake to our room and gave us a free room upgrade. Absolutely gorgeous hotel! We’ll be back!
Nothing, it was perfect
Nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Für die letzte Übernachtung vor unserem Rückflug gut geeignet.
Leider ist aus Sicherheitsgründen das Gelände zum Strand hin abgezäunt. Abends hat man deshalb keinen Strandzugang mehr. Der Pool schließt um 19 Uhr. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr groß, aber auch nicht ganz so top wie erwartet, für den Preis. Der Essbereich ist in Ordnung, aber auch nicht mehr.
