Best Western Ocean Sands Beach Resort

Was too crowded to eat. Toilet didn't work half the time. Had to go hunt for a cart to move our luggage. Drink machine had a sign stating out of drinks for four days. It was never filled. Snack machine was not working. Would not stay here again

Please beware! The pictures online are deceiving! The parking was terrible! The room was not clean-looked like it had not been swept, the bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast set up was terrible, there were burn spots in the carpet, the sliding glass door did not lock, the paint was peeling off the walls. When we got into the room the refrigerator was leaking-when I pulled out the mini fridge it was absolutely nasty to the point I had to use some of the towels to clean it myself. There was only one elevator for 10 floors, only 1 washer and dryer, and the vending machines did not work.
I usually do not allow staff to come in my room during my stay and normally just ask the front desk staff for towels if needed, so when I did that here I was informed that they were out of towels. I'm sorry, what hotel runs out of towels?? So, the next day I allowed staff to come in and change the towels and empty the trash; that was a lost cause also because they did not leave us enough towels and wash clothes.
I wish now I would have taken pictures, but I was so disgusted and frustrated I didn't think about it.

The pool was very small to hotel had no hot tubs. We will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

We had a few maintenance issues in our room, however staff was prompt to fix it. Wish there were hot tubs!

The door lock was broken with door open to the room. The porch door was ajar, with large flying insect on the table . The front desk was not aware of these incidents. Will not return to this hotel.

The photographer that took pics for booking and the ocean sands site deserves an award. It was gross. Pics were very misleading. Checked in late to then notice papers and stuff all on the carpet so thought I’d give housekeeping a opportunity to get it taken care of the next morning, came back in to the same mess, called office and they sent someone up to vacuum at that point. Stains on carpet and couch. Old dirt build up on pretty much everything, what looked like it could’ve been dry blood all crusted up on the bottom of the lamp post. Kitchen area there was dirt, food crumbs, and a peach seed gathered up all around the edges of the fridge and stove. We left a night early and went to a fabulous resort in Myrtle beach. The entire place reeked of weed, it was so bad that it was even being sucked through our ac unit in to our room. And no way to get a refund.

Room. Bed was not made up properly. Sheets were not big enough.

The breakfast area was crowded. Maybe think of a way to move the tables in that immediate area and have service on both walls.

The breakfast was good but I think could use a few more options maybe some fresh fruits.

Could definitely use some upgrades and shower curtain rod was broken so shower curtain kept sliding open on both ends staff did try to fix the issue for us.

The hotel is filthy! The room-" king suite with a full bed and sofa bed" the sofa bed wasn't usable.The room was dirty with stained carpets full of sand, hair in the toilet, and the bathtub as well, and a dirty mirror! The kitchen was also dirty, with a dirty knife and incomplete dinnerware or/ and silverware! Fridge dirty!The room wasn't cleaned at all when we arrived! The stairs filthy, the place is going downhill!Pools were cloudy and dirty, couldn't use them at all, neither my grandson!😢
