All was ok

Ich habe in diesem Hotel aufeinanderfolgend einen dienstlichen und einen kurzen privaten Aufenthalt verbracht.
Das Hotel erfüllt alle westlichen Standards ohne Probleme, die Frühstücksauswahl ist auszeichnet, auch wenn der Frühstücksraum manchmal sehr voll ist. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten und die Betten sind bequem. Das Bad ist ein bisschen eigenwillig gestaltet, aber sehr gut benutzbar, auch der Wasserdruck ist ausreichend. Im Zimmer gibt es ausreichend Wasser und kalte Getränke, und erfreulicherweise ist alles gratis.
Das Personal ist immer freundlich und bemüht, spricht aber nicht immer gutes Englisch. Man behilft sich mit Handyübersetzungen, das funktioniert meistens, führt aber auch manchmal zu Missverständnissen. So wurde mir eine Woche lang gesagt ich müsste zwischen meinen Aufenthalten das Zimmer nicht wechseln, am Ende musste ich es aber doch.
Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe zum internationalen Kongresszentrum. Zu den eigentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt um die historische Stadtmauer herum, ist es aber eine kleine Strecke. Mit der WeChat App und dem Didi-Tool kann man diese Strecke aber auch ohne chinesische Sprachkenntnisse für weniger als zwei Euro mit dem Taxi zurücklegen.
Ich kann das Hotel ohne Einschränkungen auch westlichen Gästen empfehlen.

Staff at reception is not really speaking English but always does their best to help you, they will translate from Chinese for you and help as much as they can. Wide breakfast menu. Large rooms with friendly service personnel.

フロントスタッフは皆笑顔で対応してくれました。うち一人は、日本に留学経験のある人で、流暢な日本語で対応してくれました。うれしかったです。

会場へも近く便利に滞在させて頂きました．
ただし，空港からは少し遠かったです．

This hotel in China has much better service and facility than its chain hotels in the US. Everything is upscale and way above Ramada Plaza's level.

The hotel is spacious but a bit dated. The air conditioning has been tuned in to heating mode and cannot be changed to cool air so I was way too warm and did not have a good night sleep. The bathroom is big but there is a distinct smell of drainage. Breakfast was average. Check out seemed to take longer than usual but staff were helpful. However there didn't seem to be anyone at the concierge helping with taxis. I would probably choose Westins during my next trip to Xi An.

The stay was very nice. The hotel is not well versed in English so you may have a little communication issue if you do not know Chinese. There was one Manager, Richard, he was great. He was fluent in English and was always helpful and happy to help and translate. We spoke with him for almost anything we needed during our stay. The breakfast is worth the extra money to get. It was the best breakfast I have had in Southeast Asia. Great food! The hotel is a little further from the sites than I had hoped, but the metro is about a 15 minute walk. Since Xi'an is still developing as a tourist destination the metro is simpler than most, but still relatively good. It gets you close enough! The room was spectacular! Very large, great shower and bath, very clean and comfy! The spa is currently being redecorated, but should be up and running shortly. Highly recommend if location is not your first choice. I was very happy with our choice in hotel!
