The Chestnut Hill Hotel is perfectly located in the center of charming Chestnut Hill. There are many great dining options nearby and it is a short walk to 2 train stations - very easy to get in and out of Center City. Rooms are nicely appointed, and my favorite perk, they provide you with a comfy robe. Breakfast is included, and staff is terrific - Adam at the front desk was particularly helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. We came for a graduation, but will come back just to enjoy - we look forward to returning!
Not cheerful to start the day. Music too loud.
Bathroom difficult layout for someone with balance issues. Was not able to secure ADA compliant room and bath so very disappointed with stay. Great location. Breakfast room needs tune up/brightening.

A working refrigerator in the room to keep drinks cold would have been useful. A microwave as well.i do wonder about the security from people off the street just coming in and on up in the elevator without pause.

We chose the Chestnut Hill to host our family and friends for our wedding 4/26/26. Michelle welcomed us and helped us all get situated. From the second we walked we were enthralled by the atmosphere! I want to say my wedding might have influenced my point of view, but the luxurious, warm, and inviting atmosphere really made us glad we picked this hotel to part of this grand occasion. The staff were so accommodating with all our request, especially when we had a mix up on of my grooms men. My family and I also took advantage of the amenities such as the complimentary breakfast which got us fueled up for the day of the wedding and helped us recover the day after. My dad and brother also took some time to utilize the gyms to not miss their morning work outs. If I could give 6/5 stars I would and we can’t wait to book our stay next year for our anniversary!
The Chestnut Hill Hotel is the kind of place that reminds you why travel is worth it. Steeped in history and appointed with real care and elegance, every corner of this hotel feels considered — sumptuous without being stuffy. The location is an absolute delight: a charming, walkable neighborhood where you can stroll to shops and restaurants without ever reaching for your keys. Speaking of keys — free parking is a quietly wonderful bonus that takes the stress right out of arrival. And yes, there’s a nightlight in the bathroom, which sounds small until it’s 2 a.m. and you are deeply grateful for whoever thought of that. Thoughtful touches like that are exactly what elevate a stay from fine to memorable. Highly recommend!

Not enough sound proofing in windows for Germantown Ave traffic.
I loved how convenient the location was and how it was modernized but still had the old building feel.

I would not have selected this hotel, knowing I could not eat, unfortunately I made the reservation prior to knowing I could only have liquids, would have selected a more reasonable priced hotel

The staff was great, and the room was also good. It was nice that we were upgraded to a suite for our anniversary

Room was great. breakfast was weak.
Coffee was marginal. Cheap maple syrup. Hard to peel hard boiled eggs.
