Amazing curry house next door!
Pros:

I got a canal side room. Able to access the hotel from the canal.

Cons:

Aged decor in the rooms, marked and stained furniture and carpets, television didn’t work. £148 for a room with no bath but was advertised that the room had a bath (I’d just done a 14 mile walk on the flat so I was in need).

I didnt, my bed was uncomfortable. No air con or no fan provided in ridiculous heat wave

I cut my stay short and didnt stay the last evening

The room was spacious and clean

Cons:

The wait for the room to be made ready beyond a normal check in time. Noise from a party and noise from the outdoor bar area although the latter stopped close to 11pm. Thought the cost didn't reflect these inconveniences.

Skipton Hotel Stay
Pros:

A great location along the side of the canal. A lovely 45 min walk into Skipton. The pool was a bonus.

Cons:

Due to the weather being very hot due to the heat the wave June 2y air conditioner would have been helpful or a fan available. Bought a fan so solved the situation.

Lovely venue but some improvements needed
Pros:

Beautiful location and friendly helpful staff. Large room (canal view) with huge bed and 2 padded chairs with small table. Good balconies front and back with lovely views. Nice reception and bar areas. Lovely restaurant with canal views.

Cons:

Windows so dirty in the room it spoilt our canal views. Wardrobe had 4 permanently fixed hooks for hangers but only 2 hangers??? This is a wedding and special events venue!! People need more hangers available for their clothes than this. Many thanks to the lady on reception who managed to find us a few more. Restaurant overpriced for small portions.
