Overall a very disappointing hotel that needs some love putting back into it. I
Pros:

Very tasty food for breakfast. Location is good for Skipton.

Cons:

resteraunt Tables dirty, very sticky so you stuck to them. Had to move from 1st bedroom as there was mold arround the bath, very dusty in wardrobe and cobwebs on ceiling, Rooms are very dated and need an urgent updating schedule. Moved to a 2nd room but had no bath and again dirty arround the shower and a very dated room. No valance on beds and 2 part beds not attached. Room windows had been left open to obviously air the rooms and help with smell and mold.
Staff too quick to want to remove your plates when your eating, had to literally pull my plate back off a staff member wanting to clear it away. 1 of coffee machines wasn’t working. Some of beers had run off and they had none left. Not work the money i paid at all.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

We had a lovely room overlooking the canal, lovely view. It was ideally situated to walk into Skipton along the tow path. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of food at breakfast.

Cons:

Parking - while they do have free on site parking, it seemed to be at a premium - a limited number of space free at any given time.

Value for money .
Pros:

Nice location next to the canal . Easy of road parking . Room was clean. Hot shower . Good breakfast . Excellent pizza and friendly bar staff.

Cons:

Slightly dated interior . Bedroom window hinge broken so a constant draft and road noise could be an issue in the colder months ..

The staff were very helpful and very friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast: Seems expensive. The bacon was dry and the eggs had developed a crust on the top (I was an early breakfaster so this was inexplicable to me). The coffee machines dispensed good coffee well.
The need to pay each time for a drink in the bar or for a bar meal was irksome and came across as very untrusting.

Clean & the restaurant was fantastic.

Cons:

It is not a £150 a night hotel. The rooms are very tired & the doors need repainting etc. I would also expect breakfast included at that price. So we went for breakfast at a local cafe.

Great night away
Pros:

Lovely hotel, great location and scenery. We had an amazing room and the building itself feels premium with a great lobby bar - weren't there very long so didn't get to try out most of the facilities but all looked the part!
Very friendly and helpful staff too which is always great to have

Cons:

Nothing to note on the negative side, we were very happy with everything about our stay
