We were very impressed with our stay at the Luna da Oura Hotel. Fantastic service and excellent meals. Breakfasts were very good and dinners were simply amazing. However, the most important person at this hotel is Douglas Souza at the front desk. He is incredibly caring, warm, and always smiling. Thank you, Douglas, and maybe we'll see you again this year with my teachers.

Omg, the hotel was great, amazing location, I booked half boarding so food was delicious, especially dinners, every day something different, clean everywhere, room was cleaning every day, big enough swimming pool ,friendly staff, definitely 10/10
Really recommend 👌 💖
Very old gym
The staff were friendly and even let us check in early. Being British I've become slightly accustomed to places being rude and not liking us (I can't really blame them sometimes), but they spoke really good English (even understanding my broad Yorkshire accent) and were pleasant with us. They only charged me half of the deposit as the friend I was supposed to be travelling with unfortunately couldn't make it, so I was on my own in my room.
The rooms were a bit outdated but were fine for what I needed. No issue with pests or anything like that and they were clean.
I had to check out early due to me having an unfortunate accident and the staff were extremely empathetic and kind towards me. So thank you for that. The accident didn't happen at the hotel.
The WiFi worked okay (it's free, you just have to sign in) but it wasn't amazing. Don't expect to be streaming a 4k movie or anything like that. If you just want to scroll social media you should be fine, not sure how it would cope with uploading posts, especially videos.
There's a free ATM at the hotel to withdraw the deposit (which is cash only) so don't worry about having to travel with 300 euro's in your bag or anything - it's much safer to withdraw it when you get there. If your banking provider lets you withdraw money for free abroad (like Monzo for example) then make sure to click "don't convert" before withdrawing as it'll save you a lot of money.
There's also a tourist tax to pay of 2 euros per person per day, but this is standard across all of Europe and can be paid via card.
I drank the tap water whilst I was there and no issues (it's safe in all of Portugal anyway). It didn't taste funny or anything.
Unfortunately room service is no longer a thing, which would have helped me out greatly for the day or so that I stayed in my hotel room after the accident. However, I just used Uber eats and got stuff delivered that way instead.
The shower isn't great and ended up burning myself a couple of times. It has a hot tap and a cold tap and you basically have to get them both exactly right to get a bearable temperature. The problem is that when you come to turn the shower off, it either scolds you or blasts you with ice cold water. They spin in different directions so you always end up turning one the wrong way and getting scolded. Try it yourself before you judge me! lol.
My trick was to change setting to "bath mode" at the beginning of my shower to find the right temperature (so that you're not standing under it getting blasted with ice cold/boiling hot water whilst you find the right temp) then switch to shower mode and jump in. Then did the same at the end of my shower (switch to bath mode and turn the taps off then). At least only your feet get scolded then!

A piscina, a localização
Gostei de tudo
Nada
Pésima instalaciones , y tienes que pagar 300€ de fianza para una noche , en efectivo porque con tarjeta tardaban 2 meses en hacer la devolución. No lo recomiendo
We loved everything about this hotel. Been about 6 or 7 times.
Nothing. Perfect👍
Hotel was a good location to the strip & only a few euro in taxi to get to old town. The apartment was clean, though the floor felt like it could have done with a mop. Plenty of space in rooms & kitchen had the essentials.
One thing that we found annoying was they took 600euro off us for damage deposit. We were one booking but needed 2rooms with being 6adults, so each room 300euro. We came to later find out that they had not charged others this deposit, while chatting around the pool. We asked if we could have our deposit back the night before departure as we were getting picked up at 6am so 600euro was no use to us then, they point blank refused, even though are room had been checked and cleaned!
Очень хороший отель.
Номара отличного качества, в номерах есть все для комфортного проживания. Спа комплекс просто супер. Персонал на высоком уровне. Очень удобное расположение. Обязательно приедем снова!
