Decor. Location.
Service. Small rooms with no space for luggage (as opposed to a small room WITH space for luggage, like under the bed). Did not clean the room 3 out of 5 nights.
The room was beautiful (but very small). The location was spectacular as was the building itself. We loved the free Greenwich Village tour that we took on the Sunday.
While one or two of the staff were friendly, several at the front desk were aloof, standoffish and on our last day, plainly rude. We felt like an inconvenience when we asked for a printed bill on checkout to confirm what the final charges were. Also, the house keeping came later and later each day, so after a morning of exploring, we often had to wait in the lobby or the street as they tidied our room (at 3pm etc.) Despite asking for an earlier room refresh, it did not happen. Nor was our mini shampoos etc replaced each day. There was also no way to change the temperature in your room - it was either freezing cold or off. It was centrally controlled. The bathroom was also tired and had some chips missing on tiles etc. The disabled shower also had draining issues so it flooded the floor each time it was used.
Camera solo un po’ troppo piccola e buia con poco posto per stipare i vestiti
Emplacement exceptionnel
Great value for the money. Liked the small details like jazz at the lobby, a good restaurant for breakfast, the water bottles available at the lobby at all times and the slippers in the bedroom.
The building itself its a bit old and need some repairs, but all was very clean.
Very wonderful hotel, cozy and true to lower Manhattan. Would definitely stay here again. Loved the bar and front lobby with music and ambiance. Sat out at the little table of the sidewalk and people watched. It is close to everything in the village and convenient to the subways. Loved it!
I’ve stayed at the Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village at least once or twice a month, and after living in NYC for over a decade, it has truly started to feel like home. It’s the only hotel I stay at when I’m in the city.
What makes the Walker so special is the people. The staff is incredible — there’s something unique about walking through the door and being greeted by people who know you and make you feel genuinely welcomed. That level of personal attention is rare and makes every stay feel special.
The location is unbeatable, with some of the best restaurants in NYC right outside your door and everything the Village has to offer within reach. The hotel itself is always impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and has that perfect boutique feel that makes it feel more like a home than a hotel.
I truly can’t recommend the Walker Hotel enough. It’s a special place, and every stay reminds me why it has become my home away from home in New York.
Amazing experience. The front desk were friendly and made our stay that much more amazing. Mya, was so unbelievably friendly, helpful, and made our stay very comfortable and fun. She gives great customer service. We will for sure be back. Thank you Charles and Kathy Bliss
Cool hotel but pricey
Room quite small
The Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village provided my family and I a perfect getaway. My son was in love with the spacious room and amazing view. The staff provided excellent service which was a big help when traveling with a toddler. The area also provided convenient shopping. A special thank you to their very own Jennifer Nandkumar for help from setting the reservation to check out and everything in between. This will definitely be a top choice the next time we decide to take another trip to the city.
Perfect location, very walkable to everywhere!
The aircon was so loud!
This is a fantastic hotel. It is well located and easy to get anywhere from the village. It’s right by the Green market in case you want to get some fresh vegetables or flowers. Easy access to everything you need. And that’s just the location. The hotel is lovely. The staff especially Samantha at the front desk were good to me and attentive to every need. The food at the society restaurant is delicious and has a lot of choices. A great latte! Everyone on the staff was friendly and very helpful. It was a joy and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends, and I will certainly be coming back myself.
Breakfast menu had a good variety. Location was easy to get to the places and restaurants we like
It definitely needs some renovation. Tiles were missing on the floors and they needed to be polished. The lighting in the entire hotel is too dark particularly the bathrooms
Very quaint and convenient for a couples jazz, broadway, and World Cup weekend! Perfect!
Great location rooms are smaller than you think. Staff was great
