The local
Very expensive for what they offer.
Loved everything about it .

Great location, walking distance to downtown Carmel. Plenty of parking spaces available.
Although there is a certain charm to the building, the rooms are a bit tired and outdated. The breakfast that is included can hardly be called a breakfast. There is a small table containing saran wrapped muffins, some yogurt and brown bananas.
Breakfast wonderful, a great opportunity to socialize with guests staying at the property.
5pm social with tea and coffee in the lobby OR just cookies is a good idea to speak to people and make friends.
The location is great and the staff members were pleasant. The bed was comfy, the room and bathroom were absolutely sparkling clean. But the decor and the fixtures were very dated; literally had not had a facelift since the early 80’s. The shower was hot and the water pressure excellent, but it too was very dated, and it was small. If I were a tall person the shower head would have been far too low and if I were a fat person the stall would have been tight. The counter space was low even for me, but I thought it might have been done with kids in mind. There were no usb ports, and only 1 accessible outlet in the bedroom, with another in the bathroom. And handicapped access is a problem because there is no elevator and scads of stairs; my husband had a bad ankle and so we ran into that.
The breakfast was inadequate. I understand they don’t have room for a full-on breakfast with eggs and bacon, but they could make do a lot better. There was decent coffee. But the food selection should be more than pastries, bananas and tangerines. There was yogurt, but the single variety was full of sugar so being diabetic I could not touch it. Think through a decent menu, and rearrange a bit to offer it.
Great location. Easy walk to everything. Very charming hotel. Super owners!!
Location
Outdated
CHARM, STAFF, LOCATION
The building is outdated but then again it’s all part of the charm in Carmel.
The continental breakfast was tasty with good coffee and pastries/muffins plus a piece of fruit. Almost everyone took the breakfast to their room. The people at the front desk in the morning were exceptionally nice!!
The hotel is about .6 mile walk to the beach, which we did every day.
The room was nice. My favorite part was the small table and chairs on the deck in front of the room with a view to the ocean where we had our wine and take out dinner- it was beautiful and peaceful.
The room had a very small table with an oversized lamp that we had to put on the floor to be able to use the table. The chairs were very old and needed gluing or replacing.
Cute little pink hotel with charming artwork. Breakfast in the morning saved us time and money for adventures.
A lot of stairs but my old chubby butt needs it!
Location and and friendly and helpful staff. View but in we had two cloudy mornings not really enjoyed that option.
Very soft mattresses of the bed
the big room
there was a huge spider in my bed lol
The breakfast and the bed was very comfortable.
The room itself was comfortable, but it was extremely noisy. The walls and ceiling were paper thin and we were on the bottom floor, so we heard everything from the room above us.
The ocean view was beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet there, and the flowers in the landscaping are so beautiful.
The coffee was kind of weak, but the continental breakfast was great.
The room was huge, like an apartment. Great location, walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. Breakfast can be taken to your room in the morning.
A little outdated, breakfast didn't have much variety
Location is great with free parking. The rooms are charming and clean. Staff is friendly and breakfast and coffee is convenient.
Nothing that we didn't like.
The design , location, aesthetics and the sweet lady owner Kerry with her smile, hospitality & lovely suggestions.. breakfast is nice especially in their reception room that is beautifully designed ❤️
The staff are decent .. I noticed something in the sauna came next day & seems they fixed it
The ceiling & walls are so thin .. If you are a light sleeper forget about it .. you are sleeping & waking up with the people’s above your rooms schedule :(( I had someone above me that kept making noise from 6AM walking around for 2 hours in their room
Pool needs to be heated more specifically if the weather is windy n cold
