Pros:

Hotel location is absolutely fantastic, staff are great.

Cons:

The hotel needs a major upgrade and refurbishment in all respects. Breakfast was not worth the price paid.

Unfortunately, my stay did not meet my expectations. The room was stuffy and poorly ventilated, and without air conditioning it became uncomfortably hot. The view from the room was unpleasant and significantly affected the overall experience. In addition, the breakfast was disappointing, with a limited selection and average quality. In my opinion, the hotel does not offer good value for money.

Old and smelly
Pros:

Staff was friendly

Cons:

Old, smelly, only one big window leading to a balcony. I Wasn't comfortable leaving the window open, someone could slip in.
Shower so low I had to bend in half to fit under.
Ironing board half broken. Thankfully I could partially temporarily fix it enough to iron my shirt.
For breakfast no eggs/beans etc...
I expected more.

La atencion de Katie fue excelente, y como ermos 3 , le habia solicitado una habitación grande y me ofreció una enorme y muy bien ubicada. Ademas tuvo la gentileza de hacernos un chek in adelantado. Estoy sumamanete agradecida a Hotel y en especial a Katie Hizo nuestra estadia indolvidable

Lovely old building and good value stay. Location is prime.
Pros:

Beautiful old building that’s been remodelled while holding onto the old charm. The reception and public areas are actually really nice and have been refurbished well. Room are clean and spacious with comfy beds. Big windows that can be opened up. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is prime.

Cons:

Very hot in the rooms, a bigger fan would help. Refurbishments haven’t really made it into the corridors of the hotel and feels dated after leaving the lobby. Problems getting cold water which was a first.

Great location, very run down hotel. Not worth the price.
Pros:

The location is fantastic. Walk straight into Hyde Park in the morning, or a little further to get to Notting Hill and Holland Park. We drove so chose this hotel as they have parking. Breakfast is ok, good pastries. Nothing special but ok choice for a continental breakfast, fully stocked and clean and tidy.

Cons:

Room had a weird smell. Very warm and stuffy even with window open and fans on. Sockets on either side of the bed didn't work. The bathroom wasn't clean, hair all over the bath. Was going to mention it but I instinctly got rid of all the hair myself.
The pictures on their website and booking.com are very misleading. It doesn't look like that at all. Honestly feel like reporting them.
The seating area downstairs is big and airy, but the chairs are really run down and dirty so didn't want to sit there.

Pros:

The consept of the hotel was really authentic. Staff were realy kind, helpfull and polite.

Cons:

Because of the londons extream hot weather the room was realy hot and uncomftable to stay. Because of regulations i think aircons are forbidden but maybe large fans will be more helpfull ruther then smallers.

Hotel mit Charm und super Lage. Würde wieder buchen.
Pros:

Das Personal war freundlich aber nicht extrem zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück völlig ok und hatte alles was man braucht.
Das Hotel hat eine super Lage gegenüber des Hyde Parks.
Gleich um die Ecke ist die Underground Haltestelle Lancaster Gate und beim Hotel selber die Bushaltestelle wo auch die Hop-On/Hop-Off Busse der Blauen Linie halten.
In 10 Gehminuten erreicht man die Quartiere Paddington oder Bayswater mit zahlreichen Restaurants.
Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Man könnte langsam mal was an den Zimmern machen. Vor allem Badezimmer könnte ein Lifting vertragen. Im Grossen und Ganzen reicht es aber da man sowieso nur zum Schlafen im Zimmer ist.
