The only positive thing was the location, which was close to the beach. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool was not inviting to use because the surrounding glass panels were dirty.
When we arrived, the bathroom was leaking, so we had to clean the floor ourselves. There was no toilet paper in the room, and we had to go to reception to ask for it. At first, the hotel refused to provide an iron, even though they had confirmed by email before our arrival that one would be available. After repeated requests, they brought us a very old iron, and only after I complained again did they replace it with a better one.
The biggest problem was the refrigerator. It had a very strong, unpleasant smell and was leaking liquid. One night, the smell became unbearable, so I went to the reception and demanded that something be done. The receptionist had to wake up a sleeping hotel employee to come and clean the refrigerator.
I asked for a refund because we could no longer tolerate these conditions and simply wanted to move to another hotel. Instead of giving us a refund, they offered to move us to another room. The second room was slightly better, but in the first room the air conditioner barely worked, and the room temperature stayed at around 25°C. The staff insisted that everything was normal, even though it clearly was not.
The reception staff spoke very little English, which made communication very difficult. The rooftop pool was also disappointing because the glass panels around it were dirty, so it did not look clean or inviting to use.
I understand that the hotel eventually tried to improve the situation by moving us to another room and replacing the iron. I appreciate those efforts. However, I still cannot leave without writing an honest review because the first three days in the original room were a nightmare.
The improvements only happened after I repeatedly complained and contacted the hotel through messages. The reception staff were not helpful and barely responded to our concerns. Only after a lot of pressure did the situation improve. Unfortunately, by then a large part of our holiday had already been affected.
Near beach and close to various restaurants, bars , shops
Overall, the hotel was okay, but there are a few areas that need improvement.
The swimming pool doesn't seem to be well maintained. There are rusty screws around the edge of the pool that could easily cut someone's feet, which is a safety concern.
Another disappointment was that the pool bar was never open during our stay. We had to walk to a nearby shop to buy beers whenever we wanted to relax by the pool. While this was certainly the cheaper option for us, it would have been much nicer if the hotel had kept the pool bar open for guests.

Staff has changed our rooms when we are out, they have packed our bags, has mixed up all our belongings, 3 pairs of my shoes were missing, medicines of ours were mixed up. Not recommend at all. Can you even imagine hotel staff could pack all into bags and keep in another room when you are not in the room? When I informed to the staff about missing shoes they said they will look into it. But no response, when i emailed to the management they says staff has said to them that my missing shoes have been found in my other friends room which was a lie. Management just apologized but that doesn't make any sense.
Нихуя.отдавал одежду в стирку мало того,что после стирки цена изменилась,так еще испортили мне две футболки!
⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
We left the hotel for lunch and returned to find that the staff had entered our room, packed all of our belongings, and moved us to another room without informing us or asking for our permission. This is a serious invasion of privacy and completely unacceptable.
Our belongings were handled with no care or respect. My items were mixed with my friend's, our medicines were all mixed together, and our body lotions were opened and thrown into our luggage instead of being properly packed, creating a complete mess.
To make matters worse, I lost three pairs of shoes and some medicines during this unauthorized room transfer. The hotel has failed to account for these missing items.
No hotel has the right to enter a guest's room, handle guests' personal belongings, and relocate them without their knowledge or consent. This level of negligence and lack of professionalism is shocking.
I strongly advise anyone considering Sea Phoenix Hotel to stay elsewhere if you value your privacy, your belongings, and basic customer service. This experience completely ruined our stay, and I expect the management to take full responsibility for the missing items and the unacceptable way our belongings were handled.
Location
Needs updating.
The location and beauty of the building were very nice. The breakfast room and buffet were also lovely.
The “one key per room” policy, which seems common in DaNang, is a problem for a family with two adult sons who would like to go out. It is a greater problem because the elevator will not work without a key, but the air conditioning also will not work without a key. So some family members sit in a dark hot room so that others can go out in the evening? Strange.
We asked for any kind of help with this two different times. No solution was possible.
I called the front desk to ask for the room number and to be connected to the other room we had booked (for my sons). They were unable to help, saying “the system.”
Then we asked about the possibility of extending our stay, and they were going to demand more money than we had agreed to pay. No, thank you. We left for a more reasonable hotel.
The location was decent and within walking distance of the beach. One of the managers tried to help within her limitations and was polite during our interactions.
We booked this hotel at the last minute after our original accommodation cancelled on us just hours before arrival. The photos online looked much better than the reality.
We arrived at around 4:35 PM as a family and had to wait approximately 40 minutes before our rooms were allocated. Despite travelling together, we were given rooms on different floors. Since access to each floor required a room key card, we requested an additional key so that we could easily check on our children. The hotel initially refused, saying they had no spare keys available.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. We had booked sea-facing rooms and were looking forward to resting after a long day of travel. However, the rooms remained hot and uncomfortable despite the AC being switched on. We called reception, a technician inspected the unit and said he would report back, but nobody followed up. When we contacted reception again, we were simply told that the AC was working normally and nothing more could be done.
Our requests for a room change, including for the second night, were refused due to a lack of availability. The only solution offered was a standing fan. When we asked for a refund because of the conditions, we were told the booking was non-refundable.
To make matters worse, the in-room safety locker was also not working when we tried to store our passports and valuables, requiring yet another visit from maintenance.
Overall, the hotel felt old, outdated, and poorly maintained. The service lacked flexibility and problem-solving, making what should have been a relaxing family stay a very disappointing experience.
