It wasn’t bad or wasn’t great it was ok.
Pros:

That it was close to the airport and the beach.

Cons:

There was NO AC in any of the rooms and no elevator. It just had 2 fans and a ceiling fan. During the summer it’s hot AF and with the fans and the ceiling that didn’t help cool any one of us down. Count sleep because it was hot even after a shower, you just sweat again.

Comfortable quick stay before my flight; would stay again.

Nice to have a room over the water with a view of Hilo Bay. Bed was comfortable, and the room had everything needed and more.

As a local that prefers staying in your hotel, my advice is to stop treating locals like tourists, I took my daughter to the pool for the day, THERE IS NO SHADE AT ALL IN YOUR POOL AREA, so, I put up a pop up canopy in the far back corner, away from everything, it didn't obstruct pool use or the area from other guests, in fact, maintenance and the groundskeepers commended my idea... However, the GM apparently had a problem with it, instead of approaching me in person, the lady from the front desk was sent to tell me to take it down per the GM's request... Pretty shitty if u ask me, the same lady that unlocked the pool for us to use was the very one sent to relay said message.... The GM made themselves look/sound pretty ridiculous, especially after the entire rest of the staff had given us their blessings for the day and commended us for putting up some shade for the keiki....

if you are on budget this is a great place to stay
Pros:

for the price it is a good hotel, we were on a budget and this hotel worked great for us. We did not expect a five star resort and we did not get it either but I was very satisfied with our stay. location is right in town which is a bonus, the view was great and the facility was very amenable. The kitchen amenity was a very nice surprise it made our stay that much more comfortable.

Cons:

The Wi-Fi was terrible, it worked ok in the daytime when no one was around but at night when the place was full we couldn't even watch T.V because it was constantly buffering and would even kick me out of the streaming app.
