staff were friendly
Although we asked for a GF breakfast due to my allergy they couldn't guarantee cross contamination which was ok.
The hotel then offered a refund for breakfasts not taken....great. But because my original credit card had been replaced they couldn't refund via booking.com. They said they would organise refund and NOT too worry but todate no refund ( 4 weeks later). Talked with Booking.com who advised they couldn't do anything need to go back to hotel, but no answer to emails or texts. I guess this is called "passing the buck". this is such a simple request that both parties are making into a nightmare. Come on Booking.com do your duty and fix.
The friendly staff, and locals
Good breakfast
Proximity to Badminton Estate - RHS Badminton visit
Rooms need a refurb, structural really - window frames, bath panels showing age related defects
Lovely setting, great service, room was spotless and would definitely stay again, and also had a lovely breakfast
Nothing to dislike
Nice old pub
System meant we were treated as though we were about to do a runner any minute even though we staying two nights. We were asked to pay for breakfast (poor) as soon as we’d eaten. Not willing to put it in eventual bill
Staff very friendly and helpful
Good location
Comfortable room
More non cooked options for breakfast would be welcome
The breakfast was poor, no cereal, fruit, yogart only something cooked which we did not want. We had a boiled egg with white toast having asked for brown. The coffee was grim as was the orange juice. The property was very shabby - the outside paint work was in very poor condition
A lovely inn situated in a small pretty village not far from Malmesbury. Plenty parking. Staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Lovely room with attractive outlook. Plenty space, comfortable bed, good shower, hot drinks, fridge etc.
Breakfast was excellent.
I suspect the plumbing needs a bit of clearing out as water was slow to drain.
Lovely old property. Rooms nicely furnished and beds comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room this time was in the loft area which made it exceptionally hot and airless with cramped access. A bit disappointed as I had book this 7 months ago and paid more than last year so had assumed I would get a nicer room. Evening menu was limited which I hadn’t realised.
Love the location and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, even supplying a fan for the room in 30 degrees heat and extra water. Staffing was short owing to illness but those who we met did everything to make our stay memorable.
Nothing comes to mind
Le style anglais ancien … beaucoup de charme
Le petit déjeuner était très bon
Le dîner n’est pas du tout celui des photos . Hamburger et fish and chips au menu.
The property was in excellent condition, lovely decor and in a great location to drive to all the beautiful villages. The breakfast was excellent and great value for money , all the staff were very helpful & the new owner/ manager Aldo was so friendly nothing was too much trouble .
Nothing
There were no rooms for us when we arrived. So cannot recommend this hotel
The fact that there were no rooms for us
Very good breakfast.
Large room and very large bathroom.
Despite the very large bathroom, the shower cubicle was rather small.
Very loud talking/shouting in the bar below our room on first night, but it did stop before 11.30pm.
Beautiful quaint accommodation. Sympathetically restored to a high standard. Quirky and quaint. Plenty of parking. Large bedrooms, fantastic breakfast and really nice staff, especially the young lady that looked after us at breakfast.
The bath! It was huge and you needed a ladder to get in in order to have a shower
Great location, comfortable & clean rooms.
Double bed a little small but nothing else
