Location was great in general, right at the heart of the city centre. Check-in/check-out were seamless and staff were always smiling and helpful. We could use English for communication which was very helpful. The property was clean and neat. There was a 24hr cafe where you can get some basic drinks and food for free. Breakfast was really good and satisfying.
Main problem was that we were informed about the road closures near the hotel day of our arrival with no option to cancel anymore. We were soaking wet in the rain, as the taxi drop off was 3 blocks away. The downside to the good location was that it was right next to the ongoing demonstration and the road closures. The bed was too small for a double bed. The bathroom needs manoeuvring being also tiny.

The breakfast was good and the cafe/bar staff were great. The roof terrace was a great perk. The location in the historic centre was great for accessing local sights by foot. The room was very clean.
The room is small for the price. The front desk staff were not helpful (one was quite rude), both when the police locked down the streets around the hotel and when I raised an issue about noise (there are two loud bars next to the hotel). While the location has its positives, if the police shut down the zocalo the hotel can become difficult/impossible to access and the loud bars meant an early night was not possible.
