The location is definitely safe and excellent
Unfortunately, this time I left the hotel disappointed, despite always enjoying my previous stays here. I specifically chose and paid for a higher-category room based on the photos shown, only to be told upon arrival that the images were incorrect due to a Booking.com issue — although the mapping mistake was clearly on the hotel’s side. As a result, I could not stay in the room I had booked and paid for based on those visuals. The receptionist at first was quite rude and unwilling to listen. Although the team later tried to help, they never truly resolved the issue or offered any meaningful compensation/refund. Offering 50 USD felt far from adequate. In addition, the room was extremely dusty due to the carpet flooring and the cleanliness was below expectations. The only real positive is the excellent location. Overall, sadly, it was a very disappointing experience.

The bed was too soft, it practically folded in on me.
The room got so light even with the dark out shades drawn, it was difficult to sleep.

The best hotel in Chelsea. Comfortable. Clean. Professional. It's fun too. I love the views, the staff, the vibe. Once you walk in, you know you're at the Standard NYC. I highly recommend. Smaller rooms with a NY vibe, but well worth it.
Location. Amazing views from every room. Great breakfast in the standard grill. Comfortable bed.
Rooms on the small side, little hanging and no drawer space for clothes or place to store luggage. No privacy in bathroom due to massive fully clear window overlooking the bed.
Room view was excellent but layout was bad.
Massive useless tub. Relatively little space to move around or work. Work area was not ergonomic.
No coffee maker
No coffee after 7 am in the lobby.
You want a coffee before you shave and you can't get it.
The video with strange sounds in the elevator is fine for one day and then it gets on your nerves.

they charged me their fees twice by mistake and took some back and forth email to sort that out
Location. Restaurant and overall design of hotel and rooms. Front desk was great. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and the rooftop club had great views.
The room lacked finesse and attention to detail. rumpled carpet. sloppy paint job in toilet closet. The room felt oddly dated and run down. the personnel on rooftop bar were full of attitude and totally aloof.
Made a reservation for Mother’s Day for the wrong day and Eli the host was kind enough to accommodate us even though I messed up on the dates.
The food and ambiance of The Standard grill is amazing…..highly recommended!

Breakfast. The people working there is not kind or cool at all.
Bed was up against a wall which made it very difficult to get out of!
I planned a wedding at The Standard last weekend and the events team could not have been better. We hosted ~200 people for a ceremony followed by a large reception in BOOM. The event was a major production with lots of moving parts, and the events team was SO on it and so caring throughout. Major shout out to Yulian, Courtney, and Ingrid for being so amazing. And a big thanks to Christian Morel and the guest experience team for making sure our couple and their family felt extra taken care of all week leading up to the event. As a planner, I can't recommend working with this team more!

Location was excellent and beautiful view from floor to ceiling window. Bed and pillows are super comfy.
Rooms are very worn and tired, makes the room look and feel dirty.
