City View Hotel - Roman Road Market

The room was so bad I couldn’t stay there for 10 mins my brain wasn’t bursting because of a weird smell coming out from the toilet and the room was so small and no table or chairs or anything like that wasn’t present.
Wasted £85 I booked for 2 nights but I checked out after 10 mins had to find another hotel room.

“Koupelna” na pokoji ( wc nad kterým je sprchová hlavice)

Ač měli nahlášeného vozíčkáře, tak nebyl dostupný bezbariérový pokoj s koupelnou a jiná koupelna nebyla k dispozici, první den navíc ubytování v jiné pobočne nižšího standartu (měly jsme mít pokoj s vlastní koupelnou, první den byla koupelna společná, špinavá a pokoj bez možnosti otevřít okno - to bylo nepřístupné na stropě)

It was an absolute dump. The room looked nothing like the photos. My booking included a private bathroom which I was told in check in was not the case. It was run down and filthy, and shouldn’t be allowed to operate as far as I’m concerned.

was pretty dirty stains oncthe wall and mattress, bathrooms were a bit grim.

It is very run down , again this reflects in the price you pay as everywhere is a lot more.
I personally would stay again

Staff, facilities, and the area at night

Come si legge dagli altri commenti, pessima struttura, da evitare assolutamente e appena entri capisci subito che fa schifo, super sporca e in disordine, un signore ubriaco dorme sul divano in reception, il personale non era gentile, quasi gli dai fastidio se chiedi informazioni, per 2 dormire 2 notti si può resistere, la parola pulizia non sanno cosa vuol dire, moquette piene di sporco ed emana puzza, se ci va l’ufficio igiene fanno chiudere subito! Arredamenti degli anni 70 recuperati in qualche discarica, bagni ricavati da sgabuzzini, filtri di areazioni pieni di polvere, meglio tenerli sporchi per non intossicarsi e finire in ospedale.
Per chi vuole il brivido è soggiornare in un cesso può andare bene per qualche notte, altrimenti consiglio vivamente di aggiungere qualche soldo e scegliete un hotel più pulito, più gentile e più accogliente!
Nel prossimo viaggio a Londra lo evito!!!

I was given a free upgrade, very kind, except it ment I was in room 111 which is basically attached to the reception, they spent all banging on my doors, drinking and shouting with eachother. This room had no window leading to the outside it had a window that opened to a public access storage cupboard where the staff were storing suitcases and were in and out all night, they were creepy and stated "I was ticking all the right boxes" will asking me questions about me, the owner/manager/guy was nice enough but creepy he took advantage of me being a young girl. Not to add the constant smoking weed in room 112 which was opposite mine. The shower curtin had blood on it aswel which was just a great thibg to add to my tetrible stay. Overall it was an absolutely horrible night stay there and I wouldnt wish my worst enemy to stay there

The tv would not connect to any apps. At the point I was going to ask for help a fight started in the room next door banging my way hitting and shouting for about 5 minutes. So no way I was leaving the room after that so no tv. Shower had no pressure an all. Also the room was practically flood lit all night as it has no trim round the door to block the 23 hour light from reception. Not good.
