Run-down and not meeting basic needs
Pros:

I have left a few reviews for this accommodation last year which were mostly positive, so hopefully this can come as constructive criticism.
The accommodation itself is basic and a little rundown. Unfortunately this was even more evident on this return trip. There was very pervasive, unpleasant smell, possibly from water damage. I kept my windows open throughout the night and even when I’m not in my room, to try and minimise this somewhat.
Noisy water pipes banging and squeaking when next door had their shower or turned on the tap. Poor sound insulation- I didn’t like being woken up nor kept up by the noise from next door (they were not being excessively noisy). The comfort of your stay will largely depend on the activity of your neighbours due to this factor.
Sink drainage is still slow - every few seconds of use, having to turn tap off and wait for water to drain.
Hair on toilet seat.
Water stains on the carpet squares.
Wardrobe is very difficult to pry open due to furniture being so old and a bit “stuck”.
Work has paid for 3 nights but I left after 2, choosing to drive home after work instead.
While there are plenty of parking and the staff are lovely, renovation and revamp is needed for a complex which feels dated and neglected. I feel the basic needs of a clean, quiet place to stay are no longer being met- And I do evaluate each accommodation in alignment with the cost and type of stay. I do appreciate Ray and Joanne for being lovely hosts of this property though.

3 star hotel had a wonderful cozy atmosphere. Staff super friendly and professional. Rooms were clean. They have a restaurant and our meal was wonderful. A great place

Pros:

The staff in the cafe for Breakfast on Sunday a lady who was on her own did an awesome job had a great attitude and sense of humour. Otherwise the property is standard but in good condition and clean.
