Fantastic Resort, ticked all our boxes
Pros:

We had the most amazing holiday, arrived at approx 8.30pm, check in said to go to the dining room and finish later, we mentioned about a phobia of lifts and request for lower floor. When we got back they had upgraded us and put us the first floor!
The room was immaculate! Full air con,
Couldn’t fault it.
The dining room was amazing, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and efficient! The food was fantastic, there literally is something for everyone. Loads of choice, hot or cold. Fresh Fruit and vegetables aplenty. One previous review moaned about breakfast but I don’t know what else they could want unless they went in from 10-10.30 when only continental as they catered for everything.
The Pool and surrounding areas were also immaculate and the pool very refreshing but not cold. We had no issues with getting a lounger but we were slightly out of season, you can see how they may run out. People put towels on them from 7am despite it saying not to do but that always happens wherever you go.
Evening entertainment wasn’t all that but the acts were brilliant at what they did and professional, more of a personal preference.
The resort had mixed ages from late
Teens to retired. Not a noisy resort at all and the bars close at 11pm.
All the staff we came across were brilliant, friendly and helpful.
Housekeeping was great, rooms sparkling
The only issue with where we were staying is that there is no ‘strip’ where you could go to different bars etc, there was an area just a five minute walk with a couple of bars and a Rock bar, live music etc that was good fun.
Maspalomas was a nice area with lots of restaurants and a fab cocktail bar called the Tipsy Hammock that is worth a visit.
It is at least 15 minute walk to this area and down a lot of steps but they do also have lifts for those that need it.
The bus system is amazing and very easy to use.
The Mini Gold is great fun and a must! They have a bar etc. so much fun.
If you like Westerns, then go to the Soux City Park. Well worth a visit but it is hot so have plenty of water, there is a free bus and we got it from the Global Tropical area which is 5-10 mins walk from the hotel.
Our first holiday in 17 years without the children and ticked every box for us.

Alejandro & the team!
Pros:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, but a special thank you to Alejandro, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He greeted us with a big smile every day and was always so kind and helpful, which really made our stay extra special.

The food was good with plenty of choice, the hotel was clean throughout, and the chill-out area was a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Overall, a great experience with fantastic hospitality. Thank you to Alejandro and the whole team for making our holiday so enjoyable!

Fantastic
Pros:

I’m writing this review whilst laying in our hotel room on our last night before we go home..so very much an “up to date” review.

We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of dinner service on Thursday night and were immediately made to feel like welcome. There is a very inclusive atmosphere at the hotel with everyone made to feel as welcome as each other.

We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. Everything is clean, everyone is so friendly and professional, rooms are lovely and fresh, beds are comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is second to none.
Located close enough to outside bars, shops and restaurants to make them easy access, but also far enough away from them to get none of the late night “fallout”.
The beach is a couple of minutes walk down the road and is lovely.

I’ve never once been to an all inclusive hotel where the food hasn’t had some repeat dishes, so I’m unsure why anyone would jump on that as a shock. There are plenty of things to choose from..in 5 dinners we’ve had at least 4 different meats (just as an example).

I would add…there isn’t a chocolate fountain (despite this being a mentioned “USP” by EasyJet). So don’t promise that to any young guests prior to your arrival.
There is however an ice cream machine…so that may soften the blow.

A great value for money, safe bet, family friendly 10/10 stay. Would highly recommend.

Lovely relaxing stay.
Pros:

Stayed here for 5 nights from June 20th 2026, couldn't fault the hotel to be fair. Staff always cleaning around the hotel and rooms too. Pool area was good with plenty of sunloungers available, restaurant was also good with a wide variety of different foods on offer, would definitely return for a stay in the future.

Pleasantly surprised, definitely a high four star accommodation and food
Pros:

Cannot believe the value for money, my expectations were low! Unbelievable quality, service, the food was really good one of the better all inclusive that I’ve been too, rooms large and the hotel is spotless, the staff are amazing and problems rectified immediately. Pool bar staff were 10/10 particularly Alexjasndro, the entertainment team were very welcoming, recommend this place highly, my only downside was the lack of gym but that’s just my preference if it had that and the bar was open until midnight this would be five star

Glad we booked this hotel!
Pros:

We have just returned from our week long family holiday to Playa Bonita.

We arrived late at night due to delayed flight and slow transfer and was informed upon checking in that they had put a cold buffet out for us in case we were hungry - This was an amazing thoughtful touch which often gets overlooked.

Throughout our stay, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating of our restrictive diets that our twin girls have - They couldn't do more for us! A big shout out to the chef "David", who went the extra mile all day everyday. You are a credit to the hotel and I hope its reflected in your salary.

The buffet food, in my opinion, was very good. I have never seen a buffet serve steak, prawns and other expensive foods.

The rooms are spacious and always cleaned to a very good standard.

The pool and gardens are kept clean and tidy.

My only gripe is that the all inclusive offer for drinks is pretty poor including the cocktails and evening entertainment is pretty bad.

Other than that, an amazing week and we would look at returning again.

Really nice food variety! Great Resort as a Base to explore southern side of Gran Canaria, Maspalomas and the mountains
Pros:

Been jotting notes down because I truly feel this resort exceeded expectations. When researching properties I saw quite some mixed reviews on Servatur Playa Bonita but my experience here has been good. Overall it's a hotel that's really functional - even tho it looks pretty basic and isn't fancy, good value for what you pay for, comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere, and with outstanding food.

I stayed for a solo 5 night stay most recently for a dive-learning trip and here are my observations:

- Hotel is flat, no steps and with lifts for the individual four buildings, very easy to navigate if you have large luggage or have mobility issues
- Good access 3-5 mins walk to bus stops that bring you towards beach/dune side and center area with more restaurants, and multiple supermarkets an easy 5-7 mins walk away.
- Hotel is well-staffed (in June - start of season), dishes are replaced quickly, staff cleans and vacuums the restaurant quickly after each meal hour ends.
- Public areas are clean and spotless, including common areas toilets
- Staff is friendly and helpful, and not overly zealous / enthusiastic, so you can very much be left to your own without feeling watched
- Pool-facing double rooms are really spacious, completely functional, no drain issues / air-con issues, shower and hot water runs consistently, working fridge and will comes with a small balcony. The only thing that didn't work is the safe but I can do without. This sounds basic but even alot of 5* hotels aren't actually able to have this all.
- Guests are a mix of adults of different ages mostly, not just older couples but also younger friend grps, but overall people are quiet quite quiet and tame - no crazy night club evenings or ppl screaming / partying, very chill. I find it quite peaceful wherever I go
- The main restaurant station feels casual and intimate enough and the dinner buffet is really a highlight! You won't get side-eyed for getting any amount of food. They have thematic nights where most of the buffet changes daily. Very good variety and very functional buffet stations, esp hot foods that refills quickly. There's always some Spanish delicacies like paella, croquettes, and the gezpacho soup with lots of different toppings you can tailor to your own. There's a pizza section, pasta / special dish section with some stir-fried dishes and one special roast meat dish (e.g. roast duck, roast beef, roast pork) every night, and a barbecue section with grilled meats that changes daily. They have a lot of different grilled fish selections, and I have never seen larger cuttlefish on my life. The meat is cooked just well as well, so that it remains juicy and succulent. The salad section is extensive - some flies one day but then they dealt with it promptly it seems, and the next few days the salad bar is clear. There's also a fruit and dessert section and a soft serve machine, which actually makes milk flavoured soft-serve that holds and do not get watery too quickly, and taste rich.
- Drinks are complimentary with your board at meal times, AND it's not just soft drinks and juices, but also beer + wines, all from self-service machines. If you like your meal with a wine this free-flow is definitely value-adding. Not sure abt the quality tho as I've not tried them much
- They have a weekly complimentary programme with aqua-fitness, yoga, darts, evening theatre/musical shows etc, so there are some social activities if you'd like to do them

Wifi is ok, slightly unstable at times and can be weaker in some parts of the hotel, but otherwise fine.

The only thing I'd say for the hotel team is that the beds in your rooms are too soft and gave me lower back pain overnight - consider changing to a slightly harder mattress.

Also for foods, some suggestions to - change up juices in the self-service machines, even a bit of variety instead of just apple, orange, and pineapple every single day every single meal will be appreciated. Also on refiling sauces as well, esp during dinner, as you may not realise but guests stop taking certain meat dishes when the sauces run out even if you keep refilling the meat

Let down 2* at best
Pros:

Some Pros-
*Good choice of food
*Very central and great for market.
*Big rooms
*Very nice reception staff.
*Jacuzzi area amazing but need to be there at 10am to get a bed.
However the negatives outweigh the positives.

Some Negatives-
* It states no reserving sunbeds?? Most sunbeds were reserved by 8am. Not enough space for the amount of customers!
*Cocktails are AWFUL, overall drinks disappointing. 90% of drinks menu has to be paid for. Not the idea of all inclusive!
*Overall the waiting staff are miserable and obviously don't enjoy their jobs.
*Food is often cold or luke warm, maybe investing in proper equipment like a bain Marie to keep it hot.
*Night time entertainment AWFUL.

The BIGGEST negative- The noise, next to a duel carriageway thats always busy, the cleaners start at 5am banging and moving furniture.
We felt overall the management were non-existent.

We loved the area but next time will book the Casiar next door as far nicer.

Started promising, but ended with a dangerous safety hazard – Not a 4-star experience
Pros:

We stayed at Playa Bonita for 9 nights. We were initially very excited because the photos and reviews looked promising, and for the first few days, our impressions were good. The rooms were clean, the public toilets were spotless, and the staff was friendly. Even the all-inclusive buffet surprised me positively at first; the food was warm with a good selection, though occasionally oversalted.
However, the experience quickly went downhill:
The Sunbed Situation: The hotel policy states that reserving sunbeds is not allowed. In reality, it was terrible. By 8:00 AM, it was impossible to find a bed near the pool because they were all reserved with towels—often left empty for hours. The only available beds were far away from the pool and lacked any "holiday vibes."
Pool Hygiene: The pool itself was not clean. There were small stones and sand at the bottom that remained there every single day of our stay. We never saw anyone cleaning the pool or washing down the sunbeds.
Drinks & Amenities: The all-inclusive cocktails were essentially mocktails—served in small 200ml glasses filled mostly with ice and almost no traceable alcohol. Additionally, the juice machines in the restaurant dispensed only water instead of juice for two days in a row.
I was originally going to rate this hotel a 3 or 4, but the service completely fell apart during our last three days. First, we ran out of shower gel. We asked reception to refill it, but hours later it still hadn't been done, forcing us to ask a second time. Next, housekeeping took our dirty towels from the floor (if you need towel replacement you HAVE TO leave them on the floor) but failed to leave fresh ones, meaning we had to contact reception yet again just to dry off.

The absolute breaking point occurred during our last lunch. My husband was chewing a piece of meat when we heard a loud crack. We initially thought he had broken a tooth, but it was worse: he had bitten into a piece of glass in his food.
When we alerted the waiter, he simply apologized, took the plate to the kitchen, and that was it. No manager came to speak with us, no one checked if my husband was injured, and they didn't even remove the contaminated food from the buffet counter.
This is not a true 4-star hotel. The lack of basic customer service and the severe disregard for food safety mean we will never return.
