Ok if you only need a place to crash.
Pros:

Breakfast starts at different times, depends on the presence/attendance of staff. Powder coffee only, but good omlette. Internet quality was exceptionally good for Zanzibar hotels. Location is top, ultracentral for Stonetown, Forodhani Gardens and the clean part of the beaches of the city. Nonetheless, keep in mind this is a four star local standard hotel, but not European four star standard. In Europe, this would be a two star hotel.

Cons:

Airconditioning did not function. I had to use the ceiling fan, which was on only when the lights were on. So, I could not keep it during night time. Fridge was old and rusty. Shower fawcets were overworn and rickety. One evening there was no pressure for hotwater and the technicians said one pump was broken. It got fixed the next day. He did offer to move move me to another room, which I refused waiting for the next day repair. Overall the room is basic with a strange smell from the gutter pipes.
One staff called me from Reception during my last evening claiming that I have not paid the city tax. That was not true and I said I paid it all in advance through Booking.com He continued to claim that I did not pay and I had to go downstairs to the reception to show him my Booking invoice and receipt and told him to take it up with Booking not with me. I did not particularly appreciate the vehemence of this staff in strongly claiming something so obviously not true!

It was just an average stay
Pros:

Location Is ok,easy to move around stone town....staff friendly too!!

Cons:

The breakfast not good to me,no variety at all, just few things to choose from especially cooked,,,there was alot of baking only,,,some furniture in their rooms are too old needs replacement or polished

Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Da wir einen sehr frühen Flug hatten, haben wir ein Take Away Frühstück erhalten, das war sehr lecker.

Cons:

Die Ausstattung ist sehr alt, die Mosquito Netze hatten beide Löcher.
