Skuggi Hotel by Keahotels

Excellent location and onsite parking is a plus!

Our family three recently stayed at the Skuggi Hotel. Check in was smooth. We always found parking in the garage. Someone has to get out of the vehicle to swipe the card so the garage door opens. On the way out, driver can push a button. Room was on the small side. We enjoyed having a towel heater in the bathroom. Hotel should explain you have to insert hotel card into a holder in order for the lights/electricity to work. Breakfast was very exceptional with many options to choose from and lots of variety. One check in lady was slightly condescending and another entered an ice cream shop into our phone so we could find it easier. Skuggi is easily walkable to the historic church, Sun Voyager, and Harpa.

Clean updated room, a bit small but fine for a night or 2, very good free breakfast, 1 block off the main shopping and cafe street. Quiet at night. Close to the main cruise port, and to the ocean walkway. Small window opens for fresh air. Careful of a trip step leaving the shower. No temp control but not necessary, quite pleasant. Only 220V euro outlets. Comfy seating in the lobby. Staff very nice. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel, but the room we had was equipped with only a very small narrow window. In combination with the grey walls and ceilings, it gave a very somber impression. We asked for another room, but was not available, even if we saw quite some couples checking in after us.
Breakfast was a bit limited: no eggs other than hard boiled, small selection of charcuterie.
Positive is that it has its own garage and it was very clean.

We were treated so well at Skuggi Hotel, and they worked with us to extend our stay to 8 days. Breakfast was included and was excellent with lots of variety. They also provided fans for each room since there's no AC in hotels. Very convenient to walk everywhere for food, bus stops, and stores.

A very small window in our room and a most black furnishing makes the room really dark. It was very hot in the room and no ventilation in the bathroom makes a jungle climate after showering. The breakfast was average.

Stayed here for our first night in Iceland with my family and planning on staying our last night as well. We had two rooms. Rooms were very clean and stylish. My room was quiet and no street noise issues. I cracked the window and was not hot at all. Hotel is in a perfect location and very walkable to many attractions. The free parking and free breakfast are a huge plus. I also felt the pricing was very fair. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location was fantastic, very walkable to lots of shops on Laugavegar and restaurants, very close to Hallgrimskirka. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and we would stay there again.

Skuggi Hotel was wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful, and the location was perfect for walking to local stores, restaurants, and the waterfront Viking sculpture. The room was warm, but having a fan in the room was very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

Good clean hotel in a great location. Quiet but near the water. Good continental breakfast buffet. Huge tea selection. Front desk sells stamps and will mail items for you.
