Lovely charismatic highland hotel that needs some TLC.
Pros:

Requested twin beds were a large size, room was large and clean. There was playoff free parking and views from room were lovely. Breakfast had a good selection and was good.

Cons:

Decor in room was dated, as was bed linen. Bathroom needed somewhere to hang towels next to shower and somewhere to put things in the shower like a shelf.

Worth a try!
Pros:

The staff were friendly and did everything they could to make us happy. The rooms though not particularly spacious have everything you need. Breakfast included, tho small variety, very tasty.

Cons:

Some rooms need a bit of tlc. Loose shelves wardrobe upgrade to match doors or vice versa.
Food wasn't the best quality but tasty and filled the hole.

Never again! Go somewhere else
Pros:

Location

Cons:

All show and very little substance. No bar snacks available, no decaffeinated coffee in lounge bar, too heavy duvet for a summer night, curtains ineffective, breakfast appeared to be the tepid leftovers from coach parties.

Pros:

Everything was great, dining room fantastic and food great and great value.
The only downside was that the decor in the room was very worn tired and dated, but clean, but but the floor in the bathroom creaked and groaned with everystep! The bath and basin had bits missing, chips in the enamel in the bath and chips in the porcelain of the basin. The shower was fixed so could not wash hair without getting under the shower! A bit disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel.

Disappointing hotel for a couples break.
Pros:

Good location. Our room had a newish bathroom

Cons:

Mass catering which worked for the coach parties but not ideal for a couples stay. Noisy, first time in years I’ve had to get out of bed to ask guests to be quiet at midnight!

This review is in no way a complaint. What we paid we got value for money
Pros:

The hotel location was fantastic as it was on our route to the NC500. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was large with a very comfy bed which ia always a bonus

Cons:

The hotel is very tired looking and needs a lot of care and maintenance. The breakfast was OK but not great. The bathroom had mould in the usual places which is easily preventable and curable
