Worst room I have ever stayed in - and that includes multiple Travelodge bargain breaks.
Pros:

Very comfortable bed. Housekeeping staff excellent attitude to guests.

Cons:

Room 35 :
TV remote not working - no batteries !!. First replacement set already defunct. Accompanied by worker, agreed still not working. Second set sorted the issue. Bathroom sink plug jammed open. Took handyman an hour to sort the issue, explained a replacement needed to be ordered, but had managed a temporary solution. Multiple areas of damage to bathroom door, plasterwork, Ceiling entry of TV power/arial left as large unfinished hole. A disappointing place to spend my 76th birthday, although time with my daughter raised my spirits above this.

Desperately in need of refurbishment
Pros:

Really nice staff. Reception staff and cleaners were so nice, couldn’t do enough for you.

Cons:

The rooms were clean, but very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. There was a noticeable damp smell, and although the bathroom was clean, there were black marks in the bath and a shower curtain that’s seen a decade.
We paid £116 for a twin room, room only, for one night, and unfortunately it just wasn’t worth the money. For the condition of the room, I wouldn’t have expected to pay even £50. The hotel needs refurbishment.

Disappointing. Rubbish pillows had bad nights sleep. Shower curtain not had one of those in years. Water went everywhere
Pros:

The girl in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful .

Cons:

Hunting us down about a meal they had served us the night before. Wouldn’t mind if we were just calling in for lunch but we were staying for 2 nights. Like we were going to leave and leave all our clothes just so we could get a free meal and drink. Really !!!!!!! . The tables outside were never washed even though people were eating outside. No decking was swept very dirty and you had a wedding ceremony booked. Wouldn’t like to see the colour of the brides dress if she went outside with guest’s. My partner got his new top pulled by bushes not cut back . Will not be returning.

Pros:

Food was great.
Reception was welcoming and helpful

Cons:

Food service from the staff was poor, she wasn't interested in what she was carrying and moaned that customers were helping themselves to fruit..... After paying £12 per person for breakfast I think we are permitted to have a plum or apple.
Rooms smelt damp, bathrooms not properly cleaned. It looked like someone just quickly mopped and put in new towels
