Pros:

The hotel is very tired and dark. The pillows were awful, mold in the bathroom, rusty appliances in the shower. Black mold in the corners, toilet seat old. Staff did their best. Disappointing nd I slept on my own towel, it all felt grubby. Paint missing off the lower walls in the hotel. Brass on the doors dirty.

A little gem with wonderful staff and a homely feel

Beautiful, spacious, A fabulous welcome
The car park is massive.
It is in a wonderful location
So quiet in the rooms
All the little touches are thought of - extra care package of towels if you require water etc.
We were placed into a family deluxe and a double - next door so perfect for our family!

Spotlessly clean
The food is wonderful
Lots of options for brekkie and dinner!

Drinks plentiful and all at a reasonable cost.

Pros:

very friendly staff, and great food. The menu in the bar/restaurant was very varied and good value. Lots of breakfast options and freshly cooked too.

Leuk echt Engels hotel voor als je op doorreis bent

We werden ontvangen door zeer vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was goed, en gaf de mogelijkheid om koffie of thee te drinken. We hebben ook in de avond gegeten in het hotel en dat smaakte prima voor een eenvoudige maaltijd. Het ontbijt was verzorgd en bood verschillende mogelijkheden.

Cons:

De kamer was erg donker, maar vooral bloedheet. Het was een heel hete dag, dat vooropgesteld, maar de verwarming in de badkamer stond aan en kon zelf niet uitgezet worden omdat het een kamer was voor mindervaliden.

Makkelijk te vinden, ruime parkeerplaats, mooi oud gebouw, snelle bediening. De kamer en de badkamer waren klein, maar wel schoon en netjes. Groot terras beneden.

Cons:

Op de kamer een klein raam dat maar voor 30% open kon, geen airco en het was werkelijk bloedheet op de kamer. Doordat er 2 tafelventilatoren stonden, hadden we weinig stopcontacten over en slechts 1 bedlampje. De ventilatoren hielpen ook niet tegen de hitte.
Volgens de informatie op de website zou de pub tot zeker 23.00 uur open zijn, maar toen we terugkwamen uit de stad om 22.30 uur (zaterdagavond)was alles al dicht en donker.
Het eten was aan de vette kant, een salade die vooral bestond uit gefrituurde kip met een deeglaag.

Good hotel and location, very friendly staff.
Pros:

Room and bathroom were a good size with everything you needed, very large TV. We had dinner the evening we arrived and food was fine and service very efficient. Breakfast included and good options available.

Cons:

The rooms did not have air-conditioning however there was a fan provided which helped a little but as the temperature was very high the room was very warm and stuffy. I appreciate the cost of ingredients has risen considerably however the very small square of butter provided on the table was insufficient for one slice of toast, fortunately my partner did not need hers so I used hers as well which sufficed just.
