Saying goodbye to staff
A localização é excelente!

Good location and comfortable beds, but a bit dated
We stayed at Hotel Alps for a few nights and overall had a decent stay. The location was definitely the highlight – it’s within walking distance of Dotonbori, Namba Station, shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, making it a great base for exploring Osaka.
We managed to get a discounted rate through booking dot com, which made the stay reasonable value. However, I don’t think I would have been happy paying the full advertised price.
The room was a huge size by Japanese standards and the beds themselves were comfortable. However, the room felt quite dated and had a slightly creepy atmosphere. My main issue was the bed design. There was no headboard, and directly behind the pillows was a slab of marble. I woke up a few times during the night and accidentally hit my head against it, which was surprisingly painful and left my head sore.
Breakfast was okay but nothing special. We hadn’t booked a rate that included breakfast but decided to try it anyway. It was pretty much what we expected – a basic buffet with toast, croissants, coffee, orange juice, some Western options, and a selection of Japanese dishes. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing stood out either.

Location and room space was great.
Would add fruit in the breakfast
Honestly, Alps Hotel Osaka was an absolute hidden gem. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this hotel, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our stay in Osaka.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. The hotel has a charming late 90s and early 2000s luxury elegance that you rarely see anymore, giving it a unique character that feels both grand and nostalgic.
We booked a Deluxe Double Room, but when we opened the door, it felt more like walking into a presidential suite. The room was enormous by Japanese standards, with a separate living area, a huge television with a sound system, two refrigerators, a microwave, and even a massage chair—which we made full use of after long days of exploring Osaka on foot.
The bathroom was equally impressive. It featured a separate toilet, a spacious powder room, and a luxurious shower and jacuzzi room complete with its own television. We couldn't believe it! The powder room was stocked with thoughtful amenities, including both a hair dryer and a blow-dry brush, which left my hair looking better than it had the entire trip.
One of our favourite surprises was the view. From our room we could see the iconic Dotonbori area and the Don Quijote Ferris wheel, which looked especially beautiful when lit up at night.
The room was also incredibly well stocked with towels, robes, pyjamas, slippers, and plenty of amenities. After nearly two weeks of travelling around Japan, it was the perfect place to unwind before our flight home. The extra space allowed us to unpack our luggage, organise all our purchases, and simply relax in comfort and luxury.
As wonderful as the hotel was, the location was equally outstanding. As food lovers, we couldn't have asked for a better base. We were surrounded by fantastic local restaurants serving delicious and affordable food, all packed with Osaka's famous charm and atmosphere.
Yokoyama (staff member) was soooooo wonderful. She was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to help us with so many things including helping HUGELY with our luggage (we cannot thank you enough!!!), a welcome pack for our baby with toothbrush etc, a great cot set up in room, and sooooo many amenities!! Very spacious room too. Great location. Will definitely stay again!!!
Nothing :)

Incredibly friendly staff who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. Room was large and had everything you need for your stay in Osaka. Perfect location as well!
We had a room on a high floor which had excellent views of the city without obstruction from other buildings. Wrap around windows and some could be opened.
