A slice of paradise in the heart of Colombo.
Pros:

Truly a little slice of very green and lush paradise in one of the loveliest districts of Colombo. Surrounded by greenery, super peaceful and a beautiful outside/inside style shower room. A very unique house with stunning gardens. Walking distance to Gini, possibly THE best restaurant in town. And a short Tuk Tuk from pretty much everywhere else (make sure to download Pick Me and Uber for easy ordering). The family room downstairs was perfect for us and our 14 year old son.

Cons:

Breakfast should be included for the price, consequently we didn't try it. Everything is just a little bit worn and weathered and needs a refresh. Some little tweaks here and there to make it a little more elevated and boutique and it would easily be a 10/10 for us. The WiFi also wasn't very reliable. None of these things ruined our stay however, and we'd happily go back. Truly a beautiful and unique house with so much character.

A quiet respite in busy Colombo
Pros:

Highbury Colombo is a small oasis in this lovely Colombo neighborhood. It's quiet and green and the room was very pleasant to stay in. The local breakfast was delicious. Above all, our hosts were extremely generous and made everything so that we feel welcome and satisfied.

A wonderful stay in an exceptionally beautiful and tastefully decorated townhouse.
Pros:

The very friendly hosts and a complimentary room upgrade made the experience perfect. I loved our room - it had great amenities and a selection of inspirational coffee-table books to browse through and flip through. They served a very nice breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere in the house's beautiful living room. Omelette and juice were quite tasty.

Cons:

シャワーとトイレが一緒なので、神経質な方は合わないかもしれません。（掃除は行き届いて問題ありません）

I would have loved to have the window open at night, I am (even in hot climate) and open window person. though I understand that in the ground floor single room it does not make sense. that‘s why other room next time.

Perfekte Oase
Pros:

Eine kleine Oase in Colombo perfekt zum Akklimatisieren. Das Haus ist einzigartig mit toller Atmosphäre, jedes Zimmer anders gestaltet. Manoji und ihr Mann betreiben das Highbury mit viel Liebe und großartigem Essen.

Cons:

Das Zimmer außerhalb des Hauptgebäudes hatte nicht ganz so viel Charme - aber das ist Jammern auf ganz hohem Niveau

Perfekter Start in den Urlaub
Pros:

Wunderschöne Unterkunft , um in Sri Lanka anzukommen. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr freundlicher Empfang, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Abends waren wir im KIKU um die Ecke essen, können wir sehr empfehlen. Sehr gutes Frühstück in der Unterkunft. Ich würde am liebsten 9,5 Punkte vergeben, da man das Gefühl hat, die tropische Feuchtigkeit nagt ein bisschen an der Substanz. Ist wohl nicht zu umgehen.

Eine Oase mitten in der Stadt - absolut empfehlenswert
Pros:

Die traumhafte Lage, versteckt in einem herrlichen Garten und dabei ganz zentral. Die besondere Architektur und die sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung mit einem gekonnten Stilmix und reichlich Kunst. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zugewandt und hilfreich mit Tipps zu guten Lokalen und Läden.
