Fabulous hotel. Loads of character and spotlessly clean. Lovely twin room at the front with large modern bathroom. Lovely welcome from friendly staff. Fan provided in the room. Very close to Sefton park.

Need more parking as in a wheelchair and can't walk to the car up the road. The shower was a bit small. More coat hangers. More choice on breakfast. Also could do with fans or Aircon. These were all only minor things though as we enjoyed our stay.

Is definitely in need of some tlc. Mattress not clean and could do with mattress protectors on them.
Shelf below bathroom mirror obviously broken at some time and never replaced but fittings still there.
The problem with the door was that it wouldn’t remain locked when we left the room and after we thought this had been sorted, we came back from breakfast to find the door totally jammed and couldn’t get into the room. Had to change our plans and go out for a while and return once maintenance had fixed it.
Very nice breakfast
Location perfect for what I needed. Easy check in with friendly staff. Rear carpark was full but parked on the front driveway. Breakfast was good, fresh continental choice offered. Cereals, toast, fruit, porridge, croissant and waffles, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, tea coffee and fruit juices. Bedroom ( room 14) was huge at the front. Don't expect perfection its a very old fashioned hotel, quirky but does the job.
