Personally for me the mattress and pillows weren't comfortable but husband found it ok
Lovely grand entrance and old style charm. Impressive building from the outside too. Fabulous location just 5 minutes walk from Betty’s and the main shops. Good bar. Nice to have The Fat Badger as part of the hotel.
The hallway on my first floor bedroom was anonymous grey on walls and carpet. After such a fantastic entrance it was a bit of a disappointment to be just like any hotel…I had also requested a room with a view, which I know could not be guaranteed, but to have a view predominantly overlooking a fire escape from the building opposite was disappointing. The room was fine but again just an anonymous standard hotel fittings with no pictures even on the wall. No bath - just a shower. It was just the contrast between the amazing quirky reception compared to the ordinary corridors/ rooms.

Love everything about the hotel and 99% of the staff are amazing! Food was also very good! Decor is really stylish.
Very poor welcome on arrival by reception! Not a good first impression as couldn’t be bothered to lift her head! It’s a shame as the rest of staff are fantastic.
Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed
Very loud music noise at night from pub downstairs- went on until midnight Saturday night - do not stay on 1st floor if you need early night
Excellent location. Everything we wanted to do was in easy & quick walking distance from the hotel, including the onsite bar, The Fat Badger.
If your going to Betty's for an afternoon too, it's a 4 minute walk away.
First impressions walking through the entrance was the hotel high end, to the point where my partner who I was surprising with this stay said "oh wow!" when she walked in for the first time.
Only a very small issue, it would have been nice to know what to do regarding parking before we arrived. Once parked up, no issues at all.
Second visit. Great value room. On the snug side but perfect for an overnight business trip. Well catered with the adjoining bar and restaurant. Good central location. The staff are friendly and professional.
The bin hadn't been emptied in the bathroom.
Only down points were trickle of a shower n view of a brick wall otherwise everything was fabulous

Paying for parking
We had a fantastic stay at The White Hart Harrogate and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The hotel is full of character and charm, while still offering all the comfort and quality you'd expect. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it the perfect base for exploring Harrogate.
A real highlight of our stay was The Fat Badger, which was absolutely excellent. The food was delicious, with a great choice on the menu and generous portions, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Whether for dinner or drinks, it's a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional, and always happy to help, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is also ideal, with Harrogate's shops, restaurants, and attractions all within easy walking distance.
Overall, a wonderful hotel in a great location, with fantastic food and outstanding hospitality. We'd happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Harrogate.
If we had to mention one minor thing, it would be that parking can be a little busy at peak times, but it didn't affect our stay at all.
