A nice break and felt very safe there
Pros:

Friendly and helful staff, even the cleaners were friendly and aways said good morning

Cons:

Location ,as Canvey is an island had to get taxi to and from southend, but having said that ,i made the choice to stay on the island rather than southend as i believe it was much safer at night, even most people we saw on the streets or bars were very friendly

Oyster Fleet Canvey.
Pros:

We have stayed here at Oyster Fleet many times, on the whole from the reception staff to the bar, restaurant staff, great. Food whether in the restaurant or bar excellent. Beds, room facilities, adequate and comfortable. Would recommend and will stay here again. We'll done.

Cons:

The ONLY negative comment I want to make is about the bathrooms. I feel the cleaning staff are lazy and inefficient. The build up of mould in the shower room was obviously lacking in a thorough clean, using suitable products that would address this issue should be a priority. The toilet paper, false economy because one has to use 2/3 times as much. The absolutely disgusting condition of the toilet brush made us heave! Supervision of the cleaning staff and inspection of bathrooms should be addressed. Get this matter sorted and it would be an excellent score ever time.

Very disappointed.
Pros:

Room was nice and spacious. Bathroom was okay.

Cons:

Felt like everything was too much trouble, Required early check in, and hadn’t even checked the messages to see I had requested it. Room was okay, but not up to the usual standards. Felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff which is unusual as I have had no problems before. Normally stay here once a month, but don’t think I will be returning after Wednesdays experience.
