Beautiful lake views, but rooms feel dated
Pros:

The hotel has an impressive view and a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the lake, with direct access to the lake. The breakfast is generous and offers a great variety of options. Having breakfast while enjoying such a beautiful view of the lake is a real privilege. The bed was also very comfortable.

Cons:

The rooms feel quite dated, especially the bathrooms and facilities, which have the feel of an older-style hotel (my room had the city view, not the lake). Also, there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor.

Beautiful setting, awesome views but overall slightly disappointed.
Pros:

Room was a good size, bed was comfortable, view was amazing looking out directly onto the Lake. Reception staff were friendly & willing to answer any questions we had. Breakfast was good although by 10am most items were running low.

Cons:

For the price paid it was disappointing not to have as many facilities in the room as hoped for. We had to ask how to use the coffee pod machine as no instructions provided. There was also no milk cartons provided so we had to ask for them aswell. It was disappointing that the Hotel did not provide the use of an iron/ironing board. All other hotels we stayed at during our trip away provided this. The Hotel only offered specialist laundry cleaning - for a hefty fee ! We found the breakfast staff to be not that friendly or engaging.
Just an aside - I had informed the Hotel prior to our arrival that our stay there was a special one for my Husband's 60th birthday - it would have been nice to have had some little token of recognition for this, even a handwritten note in the room would have been a nice gesture & wouldn't have cost them anything !

Exceptional food, service and the location, on Lake Lugano! Excellent swimming pool and facilities. My wife and I have ween World travelers for over 50 years, and the Hotel Lido Seegarten is absolutely among the best hotels we've ever had the pleasure to stay at.

Ho deciso di soggiornare per un breve periodo a Lugano per concludere il mio trasferimento e pratiche lavorative.
Ho scelto qs l'hotel per comodità.
Ho prenotato 2 gg via booking a poi aggiunto una notte direttamente dall'hotel, avrei voluto estendere ulteriormente ma non era il caso.
L'hotel offre un'ottima location in quanto è l'unico ad avere diretto accesso al lago ma la struttura risulta datato ma soprattutto lo staff non dimostra la preparazione per un 4 stelle. Durante il check in sono dovuta scendere in reception 3 volte. La prima mi avevano dato un pass di entrata per un'altra stanza, la seconda per avvisarli che TV e telefono non funzionavano, la terza per riavviasare che il telefono non funzionava.
Ho deciso di estendere la prenotazione e mi è stato comunicato che avrei dovuto cambiare stanza. Pertanto essendo il check out alle 11am e check in alle 3,30pm, ed avendo un impegno lavorativo alle 12,30, avevo gentilmente chiesto di dare priorità alla preparazione della nuova stanza per le ore 12.00 (avevo lasciato la mia stanza prima dell'orario previsto per il check out) Mi è stato risposto di sì, ma poi quando mi sono presentata alla reception all'ora concordata la stanza non era pronta. È stata chiamata l'operatrice addetta ai servizi e chiaramente si è capito che c'era stata una dimenticanza. Peccato che per l'appuntamento avevo necessità di fare doccia e cambiarmi d'abito e pertanto questo mancato passaggio mi ha messo in una situazione di disagio.
In tutto questo non ho sentito una scusa, ci dispiace, solo l'hotel è pieno non possiamo farci nulla. Poca cura.
Inoltre ho usufruito del parcheggio interno, il cui prezzo da listino disponibile in camera è indicano a 30CHF al giorno, in reception hanno fatturato a 35CHF. Quando ho fatto notare la discrepanza, non c'è stato alcuna reazione come se non sapessero neppure dell'esistenza del listino.
