The staff were great,
Pros:

It was located 3.5km from the Santiago Cathedral and on the main Camino into town. We could watch the pilgrims arriving.

Cons:

The walls were so thin the people showering, farting and using the toilets could be heard in the adjacent rooms all night and day. I got woken up by late comers at 12:30 having showers. The lady owner owns a hotel and expects everyone to speak Spanish. Lucky she has nice staff who understand English.

Pros:

Bar and restaurant are connected with the hotel. The evening attendant was very helpful with explaining bussing and provided us with a map. The morning attendant called us a taxi which arrived in 2 minutes. The restaurant staff was friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The bathroom floor was dirty with hair and beard shavings from previous guests. Mold around the windows. Shower water was lukewarm. No smart TV. One pillow on each bed.

Great to get to see Saint Jacques de Compostelle!
Pros:

There was a restaurant connected to the hotel. Parking was right outside. Staff was very friendly. There was an elevator. A bus stops outside hotel and takes you to the old city so it was convenient and cheap.

Cons:

Hotels are expensive in this town. Room very simple. It was all we needed.

This is a cost-effective option if you don’t mind staying outside the city centre.
Pros:

The room is very clean, and there are grocery stores nearby for easy food shopping. A restaurant and bar are located downstairs in the building.

The property is admittedly outside the city centre. That said, the great price makes the extra travel time worthwhile.

Front desk staff were incredibly helpful arranging taxis if you’d prefer not to take public transport. The waiting time was minimal, and the taxi arrived promptly.
