Pros:

Very helpful staff, great location, I thought it would be noisy but pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. There was also parking at rear which was great!

Good central location, lovely old building full of character with so much potential.

Cons:

The hotel itself is extremely dated. If I'd been blindfolded and taken to a room, I'd have said I was back in the 80's.
The room didn't appear to be very clean and there was also no phone signal/Internet in the room.
The hotel Wi-Fi wouldn't stretch to my room.

Very dated decor. The smallest TV imaginable.

Great location in city centre close to bus and train stations. Reasonable facilities, relatively
Pros:

Good size, comfortable bed, window that opened, plenty of storage. Good lift. Tea-making, iron etc included. Most basics met, and location was great, so overall not exciting but value for money.

Cons:

No drinking glass in bathroom, had to use mug to clean teeth. TV not working well - BBC unwatchable. Shower over-heated and I couldn't adjust it (last day). Whole hotel had an air of slight shabbiness. Dining room dark and uninviting.
