Great value for money, good location for trips
Pros:

Excellent value for money, large spacious rooms, good showers and comfortable beds. Good base for diving and island trips around Coron.

Cons:

Not a negative as such. It’s an older property and as such worn round the edges. This is however reflected in the price point and still great value for money.

Sadly, our stay at Corto del Mar was far below expectations. The cleanliness of the room was a major issue. The bedding and pillows had many stains when we arrived, and the room had a strong unpleasant smell. It honestly did not feel fresh or hygienic. We also encountered a cockroach in the bathroom, which made the stay even more uncomfortable.

Although the staff replaced the sheets after we complained, this is something that should already be checked before guests arrive. The overall condition of the room felt old, damp, and poorly maintained.

The breakfast was also very average and lacked quality and variety.

What frustrated us the most was the transportation arrangement on our last morning. We had confirmed our shuttle timing in advance with the hotel to make sure we would catch our boat. Reception assured us there would be no problem. However, when we came downstairs, there was no driver and no one seemed informed. We ended up waiting a long time while the hotel tried to arrange transport last minute, creating unnecessary panic and stress.

For the price and reputation of this hotel, we expected much better. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Best hotel in Coron :)
Pros:

The property is in the center of the town so easily accessible to everything. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were always clean. The food is amazing.
