There were so many more facilities available at the property than I initially thought.
I wish I had more time there to make the most of the activities available.
The room was clean, tidy & well maintained.
A lot of thought has been put in to the comfort of guests during the colder months with the great heating, heated floors in the bathroom etc, we were very comfortable.
Kitchen & cooking facilities with French press coffee was a nice touch.
The pool and spa were very clean and tidy.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t be against returning.
Being ushered to our room felt nice in the beginning, staff were friendly and advising of the facilities onsite available for our use.
There was then a conversation for attending their presentation for membership/timeshare etc. we were not aware of this upon booking and attempted to politely decline the invitation to which the response was more persuasion with a gift voucher/free breakfast etc.
we did feel uncomfortable to decline again so we did say okay.
After coming down sick we did not end up attending and had to cut our trip short to head home early, however, we did research and it is certainly not something we would have been interested in.
Great facilities like spa, heated pool, sauna, paddle boats etc. Unfortunately we didnt get to use any of the facilities but they all looked well maintained!
Parking seemed quite far away. Road noise for our room .(first floor near road) was loud (especially from 6am). Beds were quite firm.
Old school charm, literally (since it used to be a boys home). The staff were lovely. The unit we stayed in was well appointed with a modern toilet & shower. Loved staying here!
Lots of activities to do on the hotel grounds. Staff were lovely and gave myself and my husband a complimentary glass of wine and a beer on arrival.
Being asked to go to a presentation for 90 minutes to convince us to buy timeshare.

Very large period property with many renovated accommodation rooms. Our room was a good size with a king bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The property and grounds are well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the "welcome drink" on arrival.
Beautiful place, very room 2 bedroom apartment, kids said they felt like they were staying in an old castle 😃
Historic traditional buildings. Away from the main Ballarat busyness
A bit of a push to tie us into a Presentation for the Club membership. Being on holidays and interstate we had no intention whatsoever of attending a 90 mins sales & marketing meeting. Staff member was very pushy and I felt very uncomfortable and in fact agreed initially just so she would leave our apartment. We cancelled our booking that evening
