Not perfect, but still a good option
Pros:

Pros: A more affordable option in a perfect downtown location. Clean rooms. Most staff are Hampton-friendly & very helpful. Really interesting building (the old Chicago Motor Club, with original signage on the wall). Usual free breakfast, although there are other options in the area worth trying. 
Cons: Couldn't select a room in advance on the Hilton app. Tried calling the front desk, but person who answered was unwilling to try helping. Our assigned room (310, away from the elevators & facing the street) was very small, although to be fair that's to be expected in a big city. (It looked as though the 2 queen bed rooms across from the elevators had more space.) No plug or charging stations anywhere near the beds, not even at the bedside lamps.

The breakfast was amazing. A lot to choose from. My kid. Loved the waffle maker. The location was right where we wanted to be close to the Riverwalk and some attractions.

Cons:

The noise that we heard from the alley by our room from the dumpsters being dumped at like 3:00 a.m.

Pros:

The location was great and walkable to everywhere!

Cons:

Only 1 elevator was working our whole stay. Taking the elevator down for breakfast took at least 20 mins and going back up.

Rudd and unhelpful.
Pros:

Been on hold for 10 min. Given bad advice 3times , disconnected twice from the front desk in the last 30 min! Crazy rude staff. And for a diamond member it’s crazy. Take your business elsewhere.

Excelente!
Pros:

Su ubicación es excelente para conocer los mejores lugares de Chicago, la comodidad de sus camas y limpieza de las habitaciones. El desayuno fue excelente y las atenciones del personal. Lo recomiendo 100%.

great hotel, location and staff. can't rate housekeeping because it did not happen.
Cons:

4 days no housekeeping. disappointing. come on, every other day minimally is standard. room was clean just no service while occupying.

Very friendly staff and a good location for a Chicago getaway
Pros:

Great location in the heart of the city to see a play and walk the lakefront. Excellent breakfast!

Cons:

Only downfall of our stay was there was no soap in the shower
