Decor, junior suite bedroom was fabulous.
Bar menu a little boring. Basic oub fare.
Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Beautiful location. Food and breakfast were nice.
Sadly, half our patio view was of a derelict building and scaffolding. If you book you need to be on the upper floors. Black mould under shower doors (not a room service job). WiFi was hopeless, had to buy data to get a 5G connection. Had to prop the side of the mattress up to stop sliding out of bed. Otherwise, fine. Oh! Stop the staff from kicking the kitchen swing doors.
Lovely decor and clean
Room was beautiful staff were lovely perfect location
Breakfast was fit for purpose . I would have liked to have a salmon option
The gardens and pathways could have been enhanced by sustainable weed control. The shower cubicle in room 50 was to small could have been larger. Insufficient toiletries. Shower Gel, shampoo. No body lotion was available. The rooms did not get made up for more than one night stay. Broken guttering outside room 50 , meant a continous drip during the early morning. The hotel has real potential as a 4* but needs to go that extra bit, for positive overall reviews.
Location and spa facilities are excellent for nature lovers
Best enjoyed with a car as its far from town centre and public transport non existent. Uber available but long waiting times
View was incredible, and the room was so clean, the hotel is small but really good. The spa is the only reason to book and the view.
staff didn’t bother to explain how things work in the check in, or when having breakfast they were not helpful at all. The food was tasteless and the breakfast only had 1 option that was English breakfast, better to book without breakfast and eat something better in town. Also is 10 minutes away from town so you need a car to do things
Nice view of the lake from the room. It was a bit compact but manageable. Spa use was a welcome bonus.
Quite far from Bowness and Windermere. Only taxi access, nearest bus 10 mins walk away and very poor frequency.
The room was really good, nice comfortable beds along with a big tv for the cosy mornings
A lot of stairs for someone who struggles with bad knees it was very tiring and painful at times
We stayed in the junior suite and it was lovely, with beautiful views.
We used the spa which was very nice and ate in the restaurant which had great food, the scallops were very good!
Staff were all polite and friendly
Would definitely return
Internet connection on TV was poor…staff got it to work but internet not reliable however found that it the whole area, not just the hotel, and only watched TV when in bed so no big problem
Great views good rooms and good spa facilities
Nothing really - there was a fire alarm on monday morning but it was just a test as it turned out
To be right on the lake amazing, views amazing, location amazing, swimming pool and steam room plus jakuzzi is the only reason i would say was worth to pay money i paid. Kind and friendly staff members.
There was No internet in room, messages was sent many times, no respond. And shower literally non existent, water pressure was like worse than you could get from water bottle… would be nice to have clean windows when you have views to the lake:)
Beautiful location. Good food. Comfortable.
The bathroom was very small. Nowhere to hang towels. A couple of hooks behind the door would have sufficed. Also hooks on the entrance door to hang coats. We had a lovely view, but if we sat on the balcony or inside we couldn’t see the view. Higher chairs or lower balcony rail would be better.
