Fantastic hotel. Very friendly staff, well priced food and drinks for the hotel styling. The spa was wonderful and clean. Room was huge bed comfy and very clean. Cracking views of the lake all round.
Prices also were a little on the high side but it is to be expected
The views were great and the room was comfortable. Restaurant inside and out was beautiful
The stairs and climb from car park to reception, too many cushions on sofa and bed. Nowhere to sit if you didn’t move them out of the way.
Superb location overlooking lake Windermere.
Wide choice of breakfasts.
Lovely clean and well appointed spa with prosecco bar!.
Dinner choices limited poor quality and overpriced.
Good
Good
Spa was fantastic
All good
The hot tub and the views and near by pubs
The shower was very hot and the room next door very noisy
Location was fantastic and views lovely
Men walking around the bar/restaurant topless.
Room was south facing on a hot day. Couldn’t open windows as we were right by the back door (room 19) and no fan in the room to compensate. Mentioned it at checkout and the response was “ok”.
Set in a quite wonderful location, although tired looking from the outside, the interior was of a superb decor, and tastefully done. The staff were excellent, very welcoming, polite and always on hand. A special mention must go in particular to Morgan 'in house' and Katie 'reception', they shone brightly, Morgan, a dedicated young man, with excellent customer service, both, a great credit to the hotel. Food was excellent, hotel, spotlessly clean.
Our room was a joy to behold on entry, the view, epic. Beautiful decor, different to the norm in some regard, however, one downside, almost an anomaly to the room itself, was the bathroom. Disappointingly tiny, basic and barely room to swing a cat. As much as I don't wish to mention a downside to our stay, I must on this occasion. Not sure all rooms were similar throughout the hotel, but our bathroom was very underwhelming.
Couple of nights away
Myself and my wife spent a couple of nights away at the Beech Hill hotel and spa. Getting there is straight forward, there is parking out of the front, by the main road or there is also a big car park round the back.
As you walk in the front door you will see the bar area, reception and the big panoramic view of lake windermere and the fells.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and had a magnificent view down the lake.
We used the spa facilities which consisted of a wet sauna room, a dry sauna room and indoor pool with jacuzzi. The outdoor pool and changerooms were under construction, which wasn't a problem for us.
The food we had was very nice.
The location of this place is amazing.
the rooms are not sound proofed, I couldn't sleep until 4am as the 2 rooms adjiacent mine were watching the football game on TV at very loud levels as well as chatting and walking around all night.
I could hear them walking around the room, opening and closing the doors of the toilet, opening and closing the closets, going in and out their rooms and even hear their conversations, especially when they were speaking in the bathroom.
I asked the concierge to check the noise levels in the corridors, he asked them to turn the volume down, but this only lasted for a few minutes before the noise started again.
I understand sometimes guest are undisciplined, but a 4 star hotel should have sound-proofed rooms and/or offer a solution if I am loosing my sleep, especially when it wants to be a "classy" place
We also didn't like the strict rules about dresscode, these really do not respect the vibe of the place.
The hot tub in our room was the best feature
The spa and massage were also recommendable
The massage therapist Lisa was wonderful and from one therapist to another I have no complaints, the care, the pressure, the techniques, the listening and understanding of what I wanted to the delivery of what I needed was all on point 👌🏾👍🏾 making it most definitely the best part of my stay
Thank you… (sorry if I got your name wrong)
The building works and upgrades were not the best and the fact we were told after we made the (none refundable) booking wasn’t the best when we had other options to go to
Staff were great
Nothing
The staff, food and location
Room was extremely warm and didn't get cleaned once whilst we were there for four days.
The location was great
The light shining through my window,
I live near here and have started to use the terrace for eating out. Paulina has served us twice and she is very helpful and pleasant which makes it a good overall venue. Thanks Paulina
