It’s beauty, architecture, attention to details , comfortable beds , amazing staff , great breakfast.
Feels like home !
Some things to note:
There is no indoor communal space outside of the rooms. Check in is later than usual at 4pm so don’t count on being able to escape the weather if you arrive early.
Breakfast is also served outdoors in the elements or in your room with AC. It’s not a Moroccan breakfast by any means which is a bit misleading on the website. Just the usual nothing to write home about toast, eggs (scrambled from a mix)and potatos with fruit that tastes like it was cut from the day before. Orange juice from
Minute Maid or something like that.
No complimentary water in the room but you can fill your bottle in the lobby.
It’s charming, a vintage property and the saltwater pool is open 24-7.
Beautiful resort that transports you straight to the Mediterranean and Morocco. Lovingly designed interiors and exterior, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Nice touches with coffee delivered to your room in the morning and outdoor movie nights by the pool.
Overall, though we really enjoyed our stay, I find the hotel overpriced, especially in comparison with other properties in PS. There were a number of small things that didn’t bother me immensely, but that you would not expect to happen for that price: Our room was not cleaned, only towels exchanged, but dirty cups left there. The shower felt rickety and limescale-encrusted. The hair dryer was a $10 model that would take hours to dry my hair. The whole property felt a bit old and dusty, though I realize that we are in the desert. The don't have a proper kitchen so food gets delivered from another place. The breakfast oats were literally oats from a bag with a carafe of almond milk on the side.
Wonderful stay. I can’t wait to go back. Loved the laid back atmosphere of a Moroccan home. Gorgeous. And chill.
Very attentive and friendly staff. The property is beautiful and definitely a great place to relax in a quiet atmosphere. While it's an older property with a lot of history, it has been well maintained, and the amenities were sufficient for a comfortable stay. My only suggestion would be to add more garbage bins in the guest rooms and around the property for added convenience.
The additional complementary amenities like the afternoon Moroccan iced tea, cold towels by the pool, and fruit skewers in the afternoon were an impressive touch.
My wife and I have been visiting Korakia for over 20 years, which probably tells you all you need to know. It's our happy place, nestled under the San Joaquin Mountains and a 5-10 minuet walk to Downtown Palm Springs. The peace and relaxation here is the best. No TVs, no telephones (although guests are increasingly putting their smart phones on speaker), no kids, so it is not for everyone, but as a romantic spa getaway there's little to beat it. Service is friendly and there when you need it, breakfast is always fresh and local, it's quiet (except the recent addition of ambient music at the pool, which is not needed) and you can lose yourself in the sound of nature and a good book. Location, ambiance, fire pits and old movies at night. Just perfect.
Book it!! Korakia is the best weekend getaway. It's so relaxing and romantic. The staff is also wonderful and the breakfast is delicious. My favorite hotel in Palm Springs. Highly recommend.
I’ve just returned home from my seventh visit to Korakia, and it remains magical as ever. It’s such a beautiful and tranquil environment, the rooms are so thoughtfully designed and decorated, and both pools are fabulous. The sweet little birds running around the property always make me smile. Alexandra and all of the Korakia girls are always so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rosemary bouquet, fruit kabobs, and jasmine hand towels are such great touches. I cannot wait to go back for my eighth stay! 🐦⬛
The property was gorgeous and transported you to another place. The sound bath we did was so restorative.
Eight years since we first discovered this gem and while there have been some tasteful improvements, Korakia has not lost one bit of its charm. This time we stayed on the Moroccan side, and it was just beautiful. The room was clean and charming. Korakia is one of those places you want to tell people about, but you also don't want it getting overrun with tourists; it's so special.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Korakia, and it was hands down one of the most beautiful trips of our relationship. The Moroccan inspired design and the impeccable grounds make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world.
The service was so thoughtful and genuine that we felt at home the moment we arrived. Our accommodations were stunning—truly more than we could have ever hoped for!
What we loved most was the balance: it feels like a secluded sanctuary, yet it’s located so close to town that we could easily bounce around and explore. Everyone was incredibly friendly, making the whole experience seamless. I highly recommend discovering the magic of this place for yourself it’s a rare gem that I’ll be thinking about for a long time."
My wife and I finally had a chance to disconnect from the world and focus on relaxation. The service at the hotel was delightful and we enjoyed the sound bath (highly recommend), outdoor yoga, and watched movies and ate popcorn on their outdoor screen. The rooms do not have TVs, although they do offer free WiFi if you need to check in. The location is just a few blocks from the main strip in Palms Springs (Palm Canyon Road). We truly enjoyed it and will be back. The only improvements I could think of is to offer a full bar by the pool and have a heated pool. Thank you!!
I stayed here for a business retreat in March and it was so lovely. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are so quaint and unique -- very fitting for Palm Springs!
Amazing breakfast, incredible location, and fantastic staff. I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our stay. I will stay here again soon!
