Fallegt útsýni úr herberginu.
Baðherbergi var alls ekki gott. Mjög mikill hávaði í loftkælingu. Ekki gott að komast með töskur á mili hæða.
The pool area over the road is the saving grace.
Dated hotel. Shabby and needing a lot of work to bring up to the standard of £200 a night charge.
Room was small. Old wooden scratched table. Bed wall light faulty. Couldn’t use the Safe as the battery compartment and button you needed to press to set code was plastered over with black duck tape. Poorly plastered over vent in wall. Just not a nice space to stay in.
Freundlichkeit vom Personal und der kostenlose Parkplatz vor dem Hotel
Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und wir würden nicht mehr übernachten
The view was wonderful, room size was reasonable, walk in shower was great for me as I have problems with a bath. Restaurant service and food really nice the staff were very attentive to our needs.
Only one arm chair in the room for two people, no USB plug to charge phone.
Nydelige senger.
Fekk oss god trim fra og til hotellet
Las vistas eran maravillosas. Personal amable. Habitación cómoda.
Precios excesivamente altos para lo que ofrecen. Mucha pendiente para llegar al hotel andando y un poco alejado del centro.
Breakfast was excellent and serves was also very nice and attentive.
The variety of choices in breakfast from English breakfast to bresd cakes, and cearals.

View from the room. Lunch on the outside Terrace OK. Pool area was good but across a busy road. Large balcony but no pleasant plants or furnishings on it to make it anywhere you would want to sit for long. Average buffet breakfast.
Small room. Bathroom had no room to sit on the loo! Odd that all meals - breakfast, lunch or dinner were essentially just in the only restaurant there was. Expected more facilities in such a well known hotel. Staff a bit brusque at times. No spa or gym.
The decor and friendly staff
The big slope outside!
Breakfast was expensive for a buffet
Plenty on offer but food not hot and no selection of eggs.
Good location, great views, good food and lovely traditional feel. Pool and poolside bar were great
Occasional blips in service but very minor
Great views. Good location
Breakfast service was poor. Order a coffee and sometimes it took 10 minutes for that to be brought - even though it is just in a warmed jug on the side. Ordered poached eggs most days. Sometimes had to remind staff that I was waiting 15-20 minutes and clearly the order had been forgotten.
Nice staff but no order to breakfast at all.
I came out at 0830 one morning (not that early) and tables outside had not even been laid, dirty and no cushions on the seats.
The hotel is tired in a lot of places and I wonder if this place now is running on a reputation from the past.
For the cost of staying here for a week, I would not come here again and would try one of the others nearby.
The view almost goes without saying - it is definitely the big advantage the hotel has over its competitors in Gibraltar, as the view is unobstructed by new high rise developments.
The room, if dated, is adequate and the bed was reasonably comfortable.
Bar and restaurant service friendly but tends to be disorganised (see below).
The staff at reception can be a little unsmiling and unwelcoming, although once engaged they seem to do their best to satisfy enquiries and requests. Extraordinarily, while a hall porter is employed during the week, at weekends (where most changeovers occur) there is nobody specifically to help with heavy baggage.
In our room, a lack of additional touches that many other hotels still provide (a welcome pack, notepad and pencil by the phone, tissue box, shoe polish/needle and thread kit, local tourist magazine, bathrobes to name but a few) suggests corners are cut in the interest of cost control. The shower cubicle floor in our room was discoloured and looked grubby. The towels are among the worst I have experienced, and well in need of replacement. This impression extends to the buffet breakfast where no side plates are available and toast, croissants, rolls have to be placed on a full-sized plate. This is something that I have not encountered before, anywhere, other than during an earlier visit in February. Waiting staff, particularly at breakfast, seem uncoordinated and slow to clear and re-lay tables. Salt and pepper sets are few and far between. A fork, one knife, a dessert spoon and a serviette forms the standard table setting for breakfast and bar meals. Sundry requests (such as for poached eggs) are either forgotten, or delivered so soon that I had scarcely taken a bite from my fruit salad that they were cold by the time they were eaten. Last but not least, the orange juice is awful. A hotel of this standard should provide freshly squeezed orange juice (as I find in other European and UK hotels, many with fewer stars than The Rock).
Quirky hotel, good dinner in the bar, nice view
400m up a very steep hill to get back - impossible with my pregnant sister - had to drive everytime to get into town. Breakfast wasn't worth the cost
We had two interconnecting rooms, they both were good size with lovely views which were pleasant ever morning.
We order from the Bar most nights and the wait for simple things was a joke. Waited 45 mintes for ice cream.
