Great other than the squirrel

The squirrels ate the wiring harness in my truck and I had to fix it in the parking lot and the maintenance man helped me fix it

Happy with this stay. Clean and friendly staff. Good free parking.
Pros:

Staff was great. Location is perfect if you want to take a ferry to Mackinac island. You can park at hotel and staff called the free shuttle to take us there and back to hotel for our day trip which saves us $15 ferry parking and hotel parking was free and they said it was fine to park there for the day.

Cons:

We asked for a quiet room and they put us on the first floor hallway to the pool which was t a quiet room so don’t stay first floor poolside if you prefer quiet.

Beautiful resort on the Bay
Pros:

This is an incredible resort on the Bay. The rooms were clean. I had requested a view of the Bay which was beautiful. The balcony was a nice size and the chairs/table clean for being outside. I went and sat in the hot tub which was also clean.
I would recommend this Resort to anyone.

Always a great experience
Pros:

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Bayshore Resort. Their old world Victorian decor is a nice change from the more sterile interiors of most of the the newer hotels. Their service is excellent (front desk, housekeeping and maintenance). Their beach is well-maintained and so is the pool and hot tub. They have a good selection of items for t breakfast. May I suggest a bayfront room. The views are always great, and you can watch the fireworks and the Air Shows right from the comfort of your private balcony.

Very Nice with a serious downside
Pros:

We stayed here for 3 nights, the most that would be tolerable. Everyone working at this hotel is what made the stay exceptional. There is no way to get most anywhere without a car so thank goodness they had a shuttle service to downtown and the commons. Ben, in particular, was such a sweet guy and driver, telling us all about the town.
You can walk one mile to downtown restaurants but this wouldn’t be great if raining which it did. There is a liquor store, the Blue Goat within a few blocks. We tried to get an airport pickup but the shuttle was already busy with other guests. We opted for an Uber instead of waiting 30 minutes. Expensive mistake, we should have waited.
The hotel was meticulously clean. The bed was comfortable, lots of outlets and good lighting. The main issue is the lack of a restaurant (other than a basic breakfast) or bar. With most options being far, this just doesn’t cut it.
If I had a car, it might have been a different story, although parking downtown also looked a bit difficult. I’m glad I stayed here and was able to see Traverse City, but I wouldn’t return.

Great location and amenities with spacious rooms!!!
Pros:

My wife and I stayed five nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi tub is wonderful! The hotel has a great location right on the beach, and is short walking distance from downtown. We walked to several meals instead of driving and dealing with parking. The heated indoor pool and hot tub came in handy as we had some rainy days and the lake was quite cold.

The workout room is small but allows for a basic workout and cardio. The complimentary breakfast and coffee was very convenient. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Not bad but too many dissappointments.
Pros:

Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable

Cons:

Shower was a joke. I've been in larger showers in a sailboat. Prefab miniature showers for the price I paid was ridiculous!
The property does not enforce their no smoking policy. We sat outside to view the sunset each night and had to breathe the foul smell of marijuana each night. One night it filled our room with the foul smell. Not good.

Lovely place in a convenient location. We would stay again.

Right on the bay, great staff and very clean.

Cons:

It was all great. Windows to the pool seems odd though, but we were too busy to use it anyway.
