Pros:

Well placed and quiet. I had a lovely meal at the Law Courts one evening. I liked having an electric blanket. Heater was also automatically on when I arrived in my room late afternoon.

Pros:

Rooms were basic but very clean, tidy & very comfortable. Our barman Jason was excellent & the two restaurant ladies were very friendly. The meals were very, very nice & reasonably priced.

Good only for an emergency stay of say one night

I knew the property was old but did not think it was That Old in not being updated enough. Hot and cold water came in separate taps in shower as well as wash basin. Extremely inconvenient. Also the sink was so small it was difficult to get the kettle filled even.
The bed linen were very clean. The cleaning staff visited daily but only emptied the waster paper basket and topped up the tea and coffee. No other cleaning was done.
Shower area was a sectioned off area of the wash room with a tin floor. No air purifier-which is why probably the window’s upper part was kept permanently open.
The cleaning staff asked too many personnel questions when they were greeted out of courtesy. Other staff totally ignored us. Or simply gave blank looks.

Have stayed several times and enjoyed the meals they have there

Handy to the hospital and CBD

Cons:

Stay was good and the staff, one little annoying thing was the sound of the buzzer on the traffic light outside.

Centrally located older style hotel with a ton of history.
Pros:

The staff were awesome. The food was value for money and the beverages were cheap as well. I had to extend my stay at the last minute and Malcolm was able to make it happen. Will definitely be back to stay.

Room was nice

Cons:

On arrival at approximately 4pm no staff there, rang bell. Waited 15 mins. No one about. Called their phone number and someone from bar came over. Suggest they make a sign ‘go to bar if unattended’
