Lovely clean hotel in the centre of Thirsk, ample parking at the rear of the hotel
Having to wait to get served at the bar for a coffee and cake, I felt that the staff that were serving weren't very welcoming and didn't acknowledge the fact that I was there and having to wait for 10 minutes without being served.
I ended up walking out and went elsewhere for a coffee!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Bedding and pillows good quality.
Expensive drinks. The building doesn’t have a lift which is difficult when carrying luggage up three floors.
Excellent stay wonderful venue the staff each and every one of them were so nice
Was in Room 26 and woke up to the sound of bottles being tipped maybe bin men collecting all the empties
Location was good
Small room and overated for money ,fan broken in room,it was so hot no sleep, bathroom fan stayed on for ages, noisy, parking is a lottery
Clean and nicely decorated
The room was quite hot due to the warm weather. The hotel did supply an air fan which helped.
Central location. Parking at rear
The room was a little on the small side which with the heatwave felt a bit claustrophobic.. Radiator in bathroom wouldn't turn off.
Nice, large, quiet room.
We were three floors up windy stairwells, so we couldn’t bring our suitcases up. And it was in the upper 90s and this hotel has no air conditioning. They gave us a small fan, but it was stifling.
Great location as we were meeting friends and the breakfast was very good. Staff excellent
WE wthought we had booked a suite in the main hotel building but were in a much smaller annex looking over a parking lot.
Location. Free parking. Extras.
Room was quite small for a double although en suite was very big!
The hotel is in the center of a busy market town
The rooms a little cramped and stuffy
Nice boutique style hotel right in Thirsk town square. Staff were great and very helpful. The hotel was modern and nicely styled. The food was good quality and very nice.
However a little disappointed that the first choices of starter and main they didn't have. It was a quiet night so I would have thought they would have the whole menu.
The rooms were clean and designed nicely, but could maybe do with fresh paint as looking a little tired.
This hotel is in an ideal location in the middle of the market square. There is parking available at the back of the property. We had a warm welcome from the staff when we arrived. We didn't realise that there was no lift and so we had to carry our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. The room itself was very spacious and airy with a large bed and ensuite facilities. Breakfasts were lovely and the evening meal we had was also very good. Traditional food, very well presented.
There was no lift but in all fairness that was probably pointed out to us on the itinery. The room was very spacious but the shower cubicle was probably the smallest I've seen in a hotel in the UK.
Everything
Nothing
The room and nice touches
Reception, bar and restaurant service was the worst in recent recollection. A letter of complaint setting out the issues is with the MD of the parent company.
