Beautiful old inn, I loved the history of the place.
My door lock was difficult but staff said it was scheduled to be replaced.

I loved everything
We loved the hotel's old world feel. The sitting room and game table areas are really nice. Upon entering the Lobby you just feel like you're stepping into an old memory.
I didn't like the fact that some residents forget to not slam the doors, because these old hotels don't have very much insulation.
Location was great!!!! Staff friendly with excellent breakfast, clean comfortable rooms!! Excellent bed and shower only. History of facility was great and very interesting. This motel is location, location, location!!!!
Parking was horrible!!! Rooms were old with nothing modern. No microwave or refrigerator. Price per night rate was a little high for for lack of upgrades.
The inn was AWESOME, A alot of celebrity has stayed here in the past they have signed pictures in the hall it was really great, the rooms were nice and clean. They have a very good breakfast. You can also ask at the front desk to see what celebrity stayed in the same room you stay in, that was really neat.
The beds were hard. And they don't have refrigerators in the rooms. So if you go out to eat you don't have a refrigerator to put left overs in,or to keep cold drinks/water. Other than these it was great.
Love the historical aspects of the property, clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, wonderful location right in the middle of town
Despite the age and history of the hotel, some modern amenities are welcomed and expected when traveling...a small microwave and mini fridge should be in the room. There was no dresser in the room, so nowhere to put clothes that I don't hang, and no table to put anything on. Sliding glass door would not close all of the way.
History of the place is great. Great perfect attention from a family owned and operated hotel.
Downside for us was the location. Right in the middle of town in the busiest most crowded area.

The location is excellent for accessing all things on the main street of Gatlinburg. Breakfast on the weekdays is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice pool although we did not use it.
It's a pleasant stay in an old building, the furniture might be original to 1937 when it opened. Very small bathroom, smaller closet, as in tiny. No fridge in the room, the lighting over the bed was reminiscent of an aquarium. Our balcony opened up to a stairwell....
Location and Family feel!
It was a great location. The staff was excellent. The hotel is older but very nice. Love the rocking chairs on the front porch.
The room was not well lit.
